39 field goals away from his 10,000th! He's 3 away from passing Dominique Wilkins.

Will Dirk pass active Tim Duncan in field goals made before passing John Havlicek? John Havlicek made 10,513 career field goals. Kevin Garnett, with 10,464 made, will be passing him soon.

Kind of interesting that Dirk has more career points than KG and Duncan, but trails them in total FG's made.

I was curious, so I looked it up. Career free throws attempted:
Duncan- 8377
Dirk- 7723
KG- 6175
Karl Malone has the most all time at 13,188.

Sure would have been nice to have seen the best offensive player in a Mavs uniform get a few more looks... especially when he's been red hot. but, that's just me.

26th December vs. Bulls or
28th December vs. Bucks will likely be the date he surpasses Shaq if he keeps scoring 15+ over these next games and doesnt miss some games.
Wouldnt mind 30th December. Years End against the unbeaten Dubs @ Home.
I bet Curry, Thompson and Co. would be cheering aswell when he hits the milestone.
No matter what it will be a home game (90%).

Insane.
When will all the talking heads start recognizing him for the All Time Great that he so obviously is?
Not "one of the greatest 7ft shooters" or "one of the greatest foreign born players", but just "ONE OF THE GREATEST PLAYERS OF ALL TIME."
