BREAKING NEWS: KOBE A WARRIOR
BREAKING NEWS: Bryant to be traded to Golden State for Davis, Richardson and Biedrins
The Los Angeles Lakers executed a major blockbuster deal trading superstar Kobe Bryant to the Golden State Warriors for Baron Davis, Jason Richardson and Andris Biedrins.
Chris Mullin wasted no time in acquiring an extremely furious Kobe Bryant from the Lakers in exchange for three key components to their playoff run.
This move is unprecedented in its scale and efficiency. Within hours of the request, Kobe got his wish, and the Warriors got their man. Parties have not been available for press contact yet, but a full release is expected by the end of the day. The only news coming from the agents is the consumation of the deal and some final details in paperwork.
Kobe's decision to request a trade stemmed from the recent swirl of chaos in the Laker organization.

I'm surprised Kobe would approve this.

What's weird about it is that the page says updated May 30th.

Yeah, it's a weird address. It's probably fake, but I saw it and thought it was worth posting. I didn't stop to think about whether it was real or not.

Kobe would veto that faster than Bush on bill to have all gay marriages take place in Texas.

This reminds me of something else I've been wondering about. Do you find it odd how everybody seems to have no problem pronouncing Biedrins "Bee-uh-drish" (as opposed to "Bee-uh-druns") yet it took forever for folks to learn to say "Nuh-vit-skee" (as opposed to "Nuh-wit-skee")?

Well, he has been known to be getting tired of playing defense.

It actually isn't that bad a trade, for both teams I think it's improvment. The Lakers right now are all Kobe, so bringing in two great offensive players along with another center with great potential is an upgrade. It's about as good a trade as they could get, except to maybe the Suns.
For the Warriors, this lineup is an improvement as well, and isn't half bad:
PG Ellis
SG Kobe
SF Pietrus/Barnes (they need to re-sign one)
PF Jackson
C Harrington
Weaknesses: no depth, no size, no D but that's how the W's were this year too haha

And yet when Dirk himself says his name, he says Nuh-wit-skee. I really don't even know what's right anymore.

I bet it's a weird link because it hasn't been released yet. They probably have a "Breaking news" scenario for all the Kobe trade rumors to every team.

Nah. It's just a random guy who did it as a prank. The IP traces to:
http://www.kiblets.com
Plus you can tell it's bogus and not actually hosted by ESPN because none of the content dynamically updates. The box in the top right corner still says "Tonight: Spurs v. Jazz". He just copied some of their code and essentially recreated an ESPN page.

Yeah, you're right. There's still nothing on the main ESPN page, Yahoo, or NBA.com so it turns out it was fake. I saw it and was amazed, so immediatley posted it. Then after looking at it closer (see my second post in this thread) I realized it was most likely fake. Either way it was worth sharing even as a potential scenario, it seems to me like it helps both teams.

that team would run like nobody's business. Kobe will get more wins but still won't be doing anything in the playoffs... Kobe would never play in that system imo, he would get too frustrated when the average of 35 threes a game becomes old.
