GDT Game 39 - Mavs (13-25) vs Warriors (29-8) 7:30pm FSSW
Make it 5 in a row, easiest win of 2018.

I just saw this GDT and was like huh? ...we already played the Warriors and won. Its been a busy week for me and my days are a little off.... but apparently I had a dream last night that we beat the Warriors.
I dont remember the score ...but Ill go with
Mavs 116
Warriors 108

Naturally, the first game I want to go to this season has to be against GS with ridiculously inflated ticket prices.

Witnessing the longest current win streak in the NBA ain't cheap! At least you get to see the Mavs win...

1st game of 2018, 1st Win of 2018, 14th Win between 2017-2018, 5th consecutive Win between 2017-2018, 5th Win of an 18 Win Streak during 2017-2018... adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing those numbers simply equals this...
Mavs -118
Golden Otters - 117

As long as Dennis continues to build on his recent play, I'll be happy!

@IsaacHarrisNBA: Dennis Smith Jr. spending time in warmups passing the ball to kids on the front row & letting them shoot.

Dwight really needs to stop looking for the calls -- he's not going to get them. He needs to man up and start hitting back and maybe NBA players will stop treating him like he's a rag doll.

Even on sidelines Durant stay bitching about foul calls.

This will be a good loss for the tank as long as it stays within 12ish. Keep it close, get the young some solid competition.

Wes dribbling always has the same result -- like seriously that's with Shammgod on the staff?

I'm trying not to criticize him too much because he has been playing a lot better, but I don't know I've ever seen a player have as much trouble holding on to a basketball as Powell.

SO every season we're going to be the worst team in the league until January and then compete with the world champs? Cool.

smfh....so damn irritated with Dirk. He should know better then to be that far back because his slow ass is not going to make up the ground.

Yeah, in that situation you have to sell out to stop the perimeter shots... Dirk was worried Curry would blow by him for the easy layup, but you have to trust the team will rotate and cover. Bad defense by Dirk. Bad job by RC having Dirk check in just to be the decoy when you know there would likely be time left for one last Warriors play.

I think I’ve figured out the problem. Most Mavs fans have been hoping and cheering for losses and instead the team has been winning. The fans are stirring up a bunch of bad karma. Tonight I was actually cheering for a win and they lost. I think from here on out I’m just going to keep cheering for wins. They actually have a team that’s exciting to watch this year. Whatever pick they end up with, they end up with. I’m just going to enjoy the games.

Since we were playing with house money anyway, being down by 10 with 2:30 to go I won't be too mad, but I hate going for a shot w 12 secs to go with 12 on the shot clock.
I mean if it's a fantastic wide open three for the lead maybe, but if your plan is a back-you-down 1 on 1 by Barnes you can just as well initiate that with 7 seconds to go instead of 16.

THAT was a fun one. Seems like the team is finally gelling after only 3 months lol.
Legit question, what do we do when Seth is healthy? Yogi is playing decent and so are the vet guards...

What a difference a few weeks make. The two meetings before we were totally outclassed by the Warriors and now they needed last-minute heroics from Curry to seal the deal. Can't wait to see the team after the trade deadline when Seth might finally be healthy and we hopefully got some assets for Noel.

Heroics from Curry AGAIN. Also the lucky flip up and roll in layup thing by Klay

I thought maybe it was just a good stretch, but it’s been nice to actually see Powell improve this season. I was done watching him at the end of last season, but I was wrong. His jumper seemingly improved rounds out his game.

Rewatching the 4th quarter and it’s so wild seeing Noel on the sideline high fiving everyone after that Barnes jumper to tie it.

Smith's shooting still needs to improve for him to take that next step. Not worried about it.
This winning/moral victories likely would have started sooner had Smith not gotten injured. It's nice to be 20 because that's exactly why he could come back so soon from a hip injury as they are definitely no joke and can keep players out for months.

And now we face four bottom-10 teams plus the Knicks before the schedule gets tougher again. The otters might not like our record after this stretch. Or we suddenly suck again, because why not?
