Now, I have already seen the game, so I know they don't get the ball back. But now I am wondering about the call here. Unless you just want to see your punting unit or something, is this not a dumb call? You need to score two times more often than the other team, and you are giving them back the ball with ten minutes to play, when you only need a half-yard?
I hate that call. Then again, I hate a lot of NFL coaches' calls. I don't think they have a good grasp of probabilities.

Yeah, I hate this call too. Maybe it was just cuz it was a pre-season game, but I think teams punt way to often in short yardage situations.
