Honestly I'd like to get my avatar from last seasons playoffs back... but nashty has made it his own so that wouldn't be right.
It's weird how you associate pictures with people on the interwebs.... but I guess that's all you can do unless you meet them.

I like the second one better.
First, you can just SEE it better, it focuses on the eyes. Second, the tongue shot just doesn't seem to impart the gravitas that the fremen always seemed to exude in the books (I never saw the movie). |

Don't waste your time on the movie that was in theaters.
The books, which are my favorite series outside of Tolkiens middle earth books, can't be easily translated to film.... however mad props to the F/X channels interpretation of the original book "Dune". If you want to see it on film get that one. As to the avatar, Windmill submitted this one:
