MAn....where to begin?
I guess first, we can complain about the officiating, but it was a fairly evenly called game with some big misses both ways, most crucially THJ at the end of the game. They let them play and what you saw was the result.
Luka is amazing. He will get run into the ground if we don't improve this roster.
FUCKKK Cuban and his egotistical ass. Get the fuck away from the bench. Then he had the balls to tweet about the refs...how about GET LUKA HELP AND STOP BEING A CHEAP ASS
Bullock is awful and I hope they aren't banking on a turnaround. He's got to go or get his minutes drastically reduced. If he somehow shows he can contribute, only then do you increase minutes. He ain't playing his way out of this one.
Luka free throws. Holy shit, man. What is it going to take for him to recognize the issue here and improve? If he does, he is absolutely unstoppable. Might already be, but good god man the game on the line and you brick two of em. They're free for a reason...we can argue who should be taking them (Spence) but if you're gunning to be the best in the league? That should be peak embarrassment.
Rebounding and turnovers will continue to be an issue until addressed. No aggression on the boards, save me the size and injury issue. There's just no urgency to crash the glass. This team and its turnovers won't be resolved until you find a dependable ballhandler to spell Luka and Spence, speaking of...
As good as he was in OT, where the fuck does Spence go for long stretches? For our supposed 2nd creator, he certainly disappears sometimes for a whole game. He's got to be more aggressive. I can't pin it on Luka and his usage, at some point you've got to make it known you can help and that you want the ball. Hell, sometimes Luka has to beg him to keep it and run the offense for a trip down since he's always looking to pass it back. The guy is good, he needs to recognize that and want it.

Aren?t the Mavs ranked 1-2 in least turnovers per game? Obv yesterday was ugly, but they don?t typically turn the ball over that much.
I don?t know why we can?t find people to rebound the fucking ball. It?s been an issue since Dirk was here it feels like.

Yea, you're right. Overall, currently 2nd best in turnover category for the season. The eye test felt worse the last 10 or so games but performing better than that. Last 5 is where it's been worse but not horrible (would be 4th compared to season long lol). Edit: looks like they're two worst turnover tallies are within the last 4 games. Oddly enough, they won both games.
It just seems they are very sloppy at times, but it is encouraging. Maybe replace turnovers with free throws with rebounding as the two biggest shortfalls statically.
I'd say 3-point shooting, but they are middle of the pack and last 10 games they are more bottom third in the league. I still think some more of those shots will start falling naturally, I mean, we have to hope as that's largely what they are built on as a team. Less Bullock would help lol

We had a rebounder for one year, Tyson Chandler. Completely changed the dynamic of the team, they instantly got grittier

Tyson was gritty as they come too though.
My fave center we've had.

This is the thing that frustrates me the most about this team every single night.
They get killed on the glass regardless of who they play.
Their defense is poor, but they lack wing defenders. But what makes matters worse is when they do a force a miss shot, they give up too many 2nd chance points.
I know this won't be a popular opinion on these boards, but I think Rudy Gobert would improve this big time just because of his rebounding ability alone.
I think you could get away with Gobert and Wood in a similar way you used Tyson and Dirk.
IF Gobert helps you eliminate 6-8 2nd chance points per game this team wins 50 games games this year and honestly teams out west are playing a little bigger up front now and still having some success.
New Orleans with Zion/Valanciunas, Memphis with Adams/JJ and Denver with Jokic/Gordon
The Lakers will soon pair AD with Bryant
IF the Mavs can't land a 2nd scoring option just getting a rebounding big could also go a long way towards solving a major problem for this team.
