RE:Wang for Dampier
It's hard to blame Charlie Brown for overestimating Wang. He was averaging a career-best 5.6ppg on 44% shooting and 41% shooting from three. He was also pulling down 2 rebounds per game in only 10.9minutes.
Dampier was only averaging 7.6ppg (on 44% shooting) 5.3rpg in 23.8mpg and he couldnt shoot threes!!!!
Maybe Mr. Brown didn't see that Dampier had also contributed 1.2apg and an amazing 2.29bpg (in that short time). Wang had .4apg and .3bpg in his short amount of time on the court.
48minute stats
Dampier-----Wang
15.33pp48----24.7pp48
10.7rp48-----8.8rp48
2.40ap48-----1.76ap48
4.6bp48-----1.45bp48
6.43fp48----6.61fp48
5.81FTp48-----4.56FTp48
64.5% FT%-----.73.7% FT%
Dampier was a better rebounder, a better disher, was less foul prone, got to the line more often, and had phenomenal block per minute numbers. He could have played 43.6mpg without fouling out and statistically would have put up 14ppg, 9.7rpg, 2.2apg, 4.1bpg and would have shot 5.3FTs/g
