QUICK HITS ...
Speaking of the Olympics, one name that deserves mention as a candidate is Heat forward Antoine Walker. Ball movement will be critical for the American team this time around and Walker, a point forward, is an excellent offensive facilitator. As USA chairman Jerry Colangelo has said repeatedly, it's not about the best players, but the best fits.

Its funny that a guy who does not play the position of a scoring threat, and a guy who is supposedly good enough at fascilitating offense to lead an all-world team would actually have a negative effect on his teams Effective FG% to a tune of -1.3%

wow...talk about an almost guaranteed method to the USA not winning the gold...no mention made of the fact that Walker plays almost no defense.

shouldn't someone be monitoring the garbage posted on SI? i mean really, maybe an editor should've questioned whether it was a joke or not. or maybe he should've fired the writer on the spot for suggesting something so absurd.

on a serious note, i'd like to see a team of all youngsters in the olympics. they'd have something to prove: paul, lebron, melo, dwight howard, bosh, with gordan and josh howard off the bench. that'd be a decent squad.

Mayhap, Jerry is thinking about bringing the Employee onboard in order to serve as a mentor figure for whatever prospective younger players the old man eventually invites to join the team...
