Sorry fellow posters,

but this will be my last ridiculous trade proposal for awhile. i just like playing around with various trade proposals at work, so i can get the players i want for the mavs . . . and sometimes, it takes ridiculous trades to do so.

Here's the steps I would like the Mavericks to ideally take.

1) Sign Rashard Lewis

2) Sign Charles Oakley for veteran minimum

3) Then do the following trade:

Dallas trades: Nick Van Exel, Greg Buckner, Wang Zhi Zhi, Shawn Bradley, Avery Johnson
Dallas receives: Brent Barry, Kurt Thomas

Golden State trades: Danny Fortson, Adonal Foyle
Golden State receives: Wang Zhi Zhi, Avery Johnson, Shawn Bradley

New York trades: Kurt Thomas, Latrell Sprewell
New York receives: Nick Van Exel, Matt Harpring, Danny Fortson, Adonal Foyle, Calvin Booth

Philadelphia trades: Matt Harpring
Philadelphia receives: Greg Buckner

Seattle trades: Brent Barry, Calvin Booth
Seattle receives: Latrell Sprewell

Dallas Lineup

PG Steve Nash; Brent Barry
SG Michael Finley; Adrian Griffin
SF Rashard Lewis; Eduardo Najera; Mladen Sekularac
PF Dirk Nowitzki; Kurt Thomas; Charles Oakley
C Raef Lafrentz; Evan Eshmeyer

Injured Reserve: Tariq Abdul-Wahad

i know this is ridiculous and will never happen, but i still LOVE this lineup

if lewis does sign on, van exel becomes expendable, because i don't think he will like the decreased playing time and not being able to play in crunch time minutes. i think the mavs need an oversized backup pg who can also play the 2. brent barry fits that bill perfectly kinda like a john paxson was for the bulls. barry's a great passer and could be used in a BIG lineup at times like the one below.

PG Brent Barry
SG Rashard Lewis
SF Dirk Nowitzki
PF Kurt Thomas
C Raef Lafrentz

kurt thomas could also do a great job backing up both the 4 and the 5.

i know the trade is unrealistic, but does it make sense for each team involved?

Knicks get wayy too much in this deal. They want to get rid of Kurt Thomas and Spree so this really works in there favor but still I dont think no team does this trade just for the fact being Knicks get so much.
