I like this lineup. Nash, Fin, Delk, Waler and Bradley.

The Mavs have ONLY 3 offensive rebounds, all by Najera.

Best and Nash together? I guess Nash is the sg and licensed to shoot. Good move by Nellie to get Nash going. Of course the Mavs will get killed on the boards.

Without Walker, the Mavs would be in a big hole. Nuggets in the penalty for the rest of the quarter!

They're so incredible in the third quarter at home...I just hope they don't dissappoint me again on the road. I'm hoping they were plenty embarrassed last night and will take it out on the Nuggets.

Mavs getting closer.
How can Walker and Najera be the only guys with rebounds?

Walker with 9 rebounds
NAjera with 3
and no one else has a single board?
EVERYONE except for Rodney White has at least a board for the Nugs.

The zone is helping the Mavs. Nuggets are confused. Showing their inexperience.

Considering both Dirk and Danny are out, it's not that suprising. Nash should go for another triple-double, perhaps?

I like getting everyone minutes in this game- I know it is a 4-5 game swing with two guys out, but its still nice. Daniels and Howard arent doing too poorly.

RE: Mavs at Denver Game Day Thread
It's a good thing Walker is hitting his shots, but c'mon !! 18 points on 17 shots.
The only other player close to him is Jamison with 7.

What worries me is that he's taken 17 shots already...IN THE FIRST HALF.
Get some assists, buddy. Jamison inside.

Can't the Mavs be more competitive against the Cookies?
It seems that with all the offseason moves, it wasn't enough to not miss Dirk when he is injured.

RE:Mavs at Denver Game Day Thread
I don't even WANT to even think of Glancing at Walker's FG% right now....I might vomit.
But seriously....We are very FORTUNATE to be down only 4 at the break.... Nuggs missed a bunch of shots....
And that was a HUGE shot at the end of the half by Finley to have us down only 4 instead of 6...
At least this gives us hope....but would somebody tell Nellie to tell Walker to LET OTHER PEOPLE SHOOT, PLEASE???

Wouldn't you know it. The Suns are down by 14 at the half to Golden State. At home no less! That is a whopping 35 points at half for the Suns.

RE:Mavs at Denver Game Day Thread
Walker (21) 8-18, 1-4, 2-4, 19pts, 12rbs, 2as, 1to, 1stl
Jamison (21) 4-8, 1-1, 9pts, 1rb, 1as, 1stl
Najera (7) 1-3, 2pts, 3rbs, 1to
Finley (15) 2-6, 4pts, 2as, 1to, 1stl
Nash (20) 2-5, 1-2, 5pts, 5as, 2to's, 1stl
Delk (12) 1-2, 2pts
Howard (7) 1-1, 2pts, 1to
Best (7) 1-2, 4-4, 6pts, 1as, 1to, 1stl
Bradley (3) 0-1, 1stl
Daniels (7) 2-5, 4pts, 1rb, 1as
Walker (18) has one shot less than Jamison, Finley, and Nash (19) COMBINED. What's up with that??
Nelson will need to get Finley and Nash going with Best and Delk each having 3 fouls apiece. Either that or he better hope Howard and Daniels step it up another notch.

Okay this is off subject but I hate the Suns franchise. They are such punks. I went over to my friends house because he has a satelite and got the satelite provider to give him Fox Sports AZ instead because he's a suns fan.....well Golden State is my 2nd favorite team and Ive been following them so I drove all the way (20 minutes) to see the game and Phoenix blacked out the game- again. I havent seen a game actually televised this season.

Chiwas, I miss DIRK more 'cause he was the reason why Walker would get BETTER LOOKS at the basket.
To Walker's credit he has gone inside almost exclusively.....But to his DIS-credit, He hasn't been looking to pass much....He needs to start looking up and seeing where his TEAMMATES are...

The Mavs just need to get something out of Finley and Jamison in the second half and they should win this game.

It's funny how some of you still find a way to diss Walker when he's playing the best.

Walker is shooting 44% when no one else WANTS the ball. Nash is shooting 40%, Finley is 33%
Jamison is the only guy other than Walker who is shooting above 40%
You have to look at the relative scoring- when the MAvs are shooting 41% Walker is shooting well.

I miss Dirk too.
Walker-Jamison instead of LaFrentz-NVE didn't make the trick to not miss Dirk.
I'm trying to figure out a better situation without Dirk again for some games in the playoffs.

Erica, they black it out on Fox Sports Net because the game is usually broadcast on Cox and they have the rights. I used to live there and that is the way it used to be anyway.

I've been a Walker supporter and still am. I think he's the perfect fit for the Mavs.
I can look at his line and know he's helping keep the Mavs in this game. You can't laugh off a 19pt/12rb performance at the half.
All I'm saying is that he can't do it alone. Jamison is 4-8, would it hurt to get him a couple more shots? Delk and Best are in foul trouble with 3 fouls apiece. Would it hurt to get Finley and/or Nash some easy looks as well?
