For a while I was one of those people who said I "wasn't religious, but I was spiritual." I think that's probably a BS response, so I don't say that anymore. Rather than spiritual, I'm probably just highly self-aware and introspective.
I was raised Southern Baptist, but it never clicked for me. I went through the motions until I was about 15, continued going to church to make my mother feel better until about 17, but couldn't force myself to do it any longer. I explored other religions for a while, but couldn't find anything that I really enjoyed. Most organized religion seems entirely too strict for me.
I try to live life in way that I deem is "right." Is my idea of what is right incorrect sometimes? Probably, but I'm willing to change it if I can recognize it. Do I stray from doing what I think is "right" sometimes? Of course, we all have our shortcomings. I simply try to be a good person.
Sorry I took so long to get to this one, but it obviously required a bit longer of an answer, which I hadn't had time to do/think about.
