Bonzi Wells
Hay since a lot of people are saying that we should let KVH go, what about signing Wells. He seems like he would be a good back up to Dirk and is a real good player. Idk how the money situation is, but would we be able to sign him, i think if we could it would be a good move. Or maybe even doin a trade for him if Sac re signs him, we could give them a package without sendin anyone important. What do you guys think??

He is a 6 6 guard with post up skills and a penchant for causing problems that will get wildly overpayed for one good playoffs series(though he did eat up dallas in 03 too). He cant be dirks backup and i have no interest.

I m not saying that we over pay him...in tht case i wouldnt want him eaither, but i think for the right price if we had the chance we should get him if we let KVH go. But i m also not for letting KVH go. What i am saying is if KVH walks then i think he should be a player we go after.

If for some reason you did not resign JET then a Bonzi-type would be the best solution for starting SG.

Since he will get more than the mle and that is all that the mavs have he really isnt an option. He would be the mavs 4th backup 2 guard. We have enough backup 2s.

Bonzi is more than good enough to start for us.

utter bs.
4th 2 guard on the mavs.... bwa-hahahhhaa
he isn't overly athletic, but he's athletic enough. and he is STRONG AS AN OX. He would be perfect on a team like the Mavs, with a 4 that prefers to play outside. Absolutely perfect.

kinda like.... stackhouse? strong 2 that can postup?
although stack is more athletic still, i think, even though he's in the later stages of a good career.

No he isnt. He has been a backup level 2 guard for the entirety of his career and you really think he will be a stud based on one series??? Did you think Jerome james was the next shaq? He isnt particularly young, he isnt athletic and he cant shoot very well.

Haha... and he was the kings MVP until Artest got there. Bonzi is starter material. Ive liked him ever since he whopped our ass in the portland series. I also like players that know how to step up in the playoffs and he seems like he does every year.

Yeah he really stepped up last year (Sarcasm) How was he there mvp? He was the same player this year he has always been. An good backup 2 gaurd that cant shoot. A streaky player who happened to get hot in the playoffs at the right time.

Bonzi may not shoot too good, but he is very strong and a very good post up player. I also think that he would fit in perfectly here. Starting or of the bench. He can also play SF. The guy is a good player that we could use. But as usual there seems to be people that just have something against good players like him. Example Tim Thomas...every one said negative things about him...but hay look at him with the Suns. So if we look to get any1 why not get him, his style of play is good, give him a chance rather than have Stack takin up all of Daniels minutes.
How would he be 4th shootin guard??
