Great deal for the soon to be Kentucky Colonels IMO who get Lynch and Traylor, and who unload Cancer Coleman to Philly. Bad deal for Philly. No matter what numbers Coleman may put up, he will hurt the team.

The Hornets made out in this deal, imo. They unloaded Coleman while picking up Lynch and Chris Porter.

I have no idea what Philly was thinking. Desperation or not, this doesn't seem good for them at all.

The Sixers took a gamble that I think will pay off big time for them. Coleman is far and away the most talented player in the trade. If he plays up to his abilities then this trade is a steal. Of course, the question with Coleman has always been his commitment. However I think now he is in a place where he can feel comfortable and can really contribute. Winning has a way of solving a lot of problems and the Sixers will probably be one of the best teams in the East again.

Also, never underestimate the motivational skills of Larry Brown. It wasn't very long ago that people were saying Iverson's attitude would keep him down.

Looks like the gamble is working out well for Philly:
Through the first 6 games, Coleman is averaging 19 points and 10 boards. Thats right around his career average.

Not a bad haul for the crap Philly gave up to get him. If only the Mavs hadn't been too chicken to take a chance on Coleman....
