RE: Giant Killers! Gameday Thread!
Cowboys put the Suc in Suck today.
I was gone last weekend and didn't see the game. For the Boys to win lsst week, Parcells must have sold his soul.

RE:Giant Killers! Gameday Thread!
Well, considering how this is going for our offense, I suppose we should feel lucky to only be down by 6.

RE: Giant Killers! Gameday Thread!
thank god for defense. with such a short field you'd think the giants would have scored a td easy

That was an excellet drive.
But yall are right about the score. If NY did anything with those turnovers, the Cowboys would be behind by at least 10 points.

I suppose you feel fortunate, but more than anything you have to be impressed with how the defense is playing. NY is doing nothing offensively.
Plus, Bledsoe is once again right on the money today.

I'd love to see more Tyson Thompson. Is this a case of Big Bill getting on his knee pads because the vet was unhappy?

RE: Giant Killers! Gameday Thread!
Why? Thomas is doing just fine since he's been in there.
(And I think Babe said earlier that Thompson fumbled a couple of times last week. While NY hasn't done anything offensively yet, if Dallas controls the clock and not commit turnovers, they will likely win.)
You can only dodge bullets for so long before one gutshots ya.

RE:Giant Killers! Gameday Thread!
I don't mind letting A-Train try to get into a rhythm & see if he can do something consistently like that one good preseason game he had, but I would also like to see more TT. I don't really see the point in trying to break in Marian Barber today.
And here I was, all ready to say nice things about Jose Cortez. Guess it wasn't meant to be today.

He fumbled twice once he was already down. Thomas has fumbled once while on the ground today as well.

Cortez has been great. He's had two great kickoffs. The blocked field goal attempt wasn't remotely his fault. The Giants broke through the line directly up the middle. It wasn't a matter of not getting the ball high enough. It was simply the line not limiting penetration.

RE:Giant Killers! Gameday Thread!
I would have liked to have seen Bledsoe step up in the pocket there. I thought Adams probably pushed the defender out wide enough.....probably some of the blame should go to both.

Not sure what you are referring to since Keyshawn fumbled, Bledsoe's fumbled twice, and Bledsoe has thrown an interception.
Thomas hasn't fumbled yet.

He lost the ball once he was already down....much like Thompson did last week. Both of his 'fumbles' were after he was already down.
Not getting much from Adams or the center position today.

Now you can bad mouth Cortez...and Bledsoe. He probably could have scrambled for 5 yards instead of throwing the ball away.

So did Thompson's fumbles "count?" If they did count as a fumble then they came before he was down. I know you understand that rule.
And since the rule reads that way Thomas did not fumble.
As for the game... it's ugly.

Juist check his stats... Thompson didn't fumble twice last week. Not sure what Babe was referring to. He should have said he had two plays where the "ground came out after he was down."

Yep, there was alot of harping on his 'fumbles' this week in the media. But, I'm not as concerned about a guy that fumbles once he's already on the ground as a guy that puts the ball on the ground during the play.....obviously. It was much ado about nothing.

This is one of those frustrating games where you see all of the potential on the team but cringe at the constant mistakes.

Bledsoe panicked on that second down play. He threw off of his back foot because while running still dropping back...

Neither team really wants to win today. Both of these teams have had a shot to put the game out of reach.

Keyshawn is playing very well today.
Cortez damn near missed that kick. He is the scrubbiest scrub kicker I've ever seen.

RE:Giant Killers! Gameday Thread!
Cortez had been pretty good this year...really good.
He missed a 48 yarder earlier, but the blocked kick definitely wasn't his fault. And 48 yarders are by no means automatic.

Cortez the Killer has been hitting his kickoffs better than any Cowboy kicker in the past several seasons.
I hate when we play these close games and then give up a big play.

RE:Giant Killers! Gameday Thread!
Bill f'ing parcells coached an entire game against the 'skins believing that they couldn't score. His game plan got the 'boys beat along with Roy Williams overall sucktitude that game.
This game, the Cowboys have a chance to put the game almost out of reach on 4th and 2 inches and Parcells reverts to the same line of thinking that got them beat in the redskins. Let's hope that it doesn't happen again.
