Default Did anyone just watch the U.S. Women's World Cup quarterfinal?!
What a match! I'm not what you would consider a soccer fan at all. I usually only watch it when a US team is in the world cup, but what a breathtaking, historic game! tied the game with the latest goal scored in the history of the womens world cup (with a minute to go in extra time) then won the penalty kicks 5-3......just wow.

encore is at 11pm central time tonight.

*they played virtually the entire second half and extra time down a woman due to a red card as well....

Yeah that was a crazy match! I was planning to just have the game on while I got some work done, but once the ref made gave that red card, I couldn't stop watching. I was so mad about Hope Solo's save that got taken away, but it was worth it to see that kind of finish.

male, female.....doesn't matter. that quarterfinal against brazil was easily the most exciting soccer match I've ever watched, regardless of the sex of those on the field.
