Default Terrence Jones

Guy has basically fallen out of the Rotation of the Rockets for whatever reason.

Hes still someone who can give you 10-12 PPG and 6-7 RPG on a nightly bases.

Would be nice backup on the SF/PF Spots.

Rockets are looking to trade him. Since hes becoming a FA in the Summer and likely wont extend with the Rockets we could get him for almost nothing.

Jeremy Evans and Mejri can't get on the floor. So I'd certainly be in favor of moving them. But if we had to give up contract-year-Ray-Ray to get the deal done, I'd have to say no.

Houston is looking for Guard Help especially someone that can defend.

The problem is they are over the Cap.

I used ESPN Trade Machine and this one works

D.Motiejunas+T.Jones <-> D.Harris + Mejri

Harris is a solid Defender that can defend the 1 and 2 and could backup Harden.
We get the SF/PF Rotation completely fixed with that trade.

Motiejunas is hurt and will sit out for quite some time anyway so no need to rush him back.

That allows us to also limit Dirks Minutes who has been playing too much lately.

D-Will 30 Barea 10 Felton 8
Matthews 35 Felton 8 Anderson 5
Parsons 30 T.Jones 10 Evans 5 Anderson 3
Dirk 30 T.Jones 12 Powell 6
Zaza 30 McGee 15 Powell 3

That seems pretty reasonable to me. I'd be ok with that. I do think Jones would be a god fit here and, as you say, be able to get Dirk some rest.

Bad defense, black hole at offense, selfish play. There is a reason why they hate him at clutchfans and wanna get his ass traded. Rockets see D-Mo as the future, so this Harris trade is also absolutly lol...

With McGee getting healthier and becoming more of a factor at center Powell can play more PF.
See no reason to make that trade....especially with Evans and CV on the team as well.

Montejunas is big for them. He's not going anywhere in a trade. Just got healthy too.

We dont have a PF besides Dirk on the Roster worth a damn.

This would be the ideal guy to pick up. He never had a good Coach in his Career, i guess Rick could work wonders with him.

Terrence Jones is still very talented and just needs the right coach to guide him. I think he could become a great player in our system. He would play a bigger role and would improve over time. I think he has stagnated a bit in Houston, so we might be able to get him for cheap.

The reason being mostly KP (Kan't Play]

The description of him around Houston being looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane.

Maybe once every 12 games. He will disappear in the others.

He also has a buck of plays that are just dumbfounding. But McGee did that for years too, so maybe that's curable.

Bottom line. The is a reason he fell out of favor in Houston. Lots of potential, very little production. If Mavs acquire him it should be for next to nothing.
