Sure sounds like it was, given that he's only a couple of weeks too old for the initial contract offer to be legal under the CBA.
That there was twitter-buzz among salary cap guys before anything about Houston re-structuring that offer came out also points to that being the case, I would think.

@MarcJSpearsESPN: Warriors free agent Andre Iguodala had an "excellent" meeting with Houston and a contract offer was made

@ShamsCharania: Andre Iguodala has canceled the remainder of his free agency meetings, league sources tell The Vertical.

This would definitely move Rockets to a top 3 seed.

Anyone else getting burned out from the FA already? At this point, nothing surprises me when stars jump from ship to ship.

Me too. But with Shumpert seemingly Houston-bound all of a sudden, it looks more like Iggy used them only to gain leverage. At least that's what I hope (and also what some people on twitter and CF are guessing).

@WindhorstESPN: Cavs in market to get draft pick & trade exception for Iman Shumpert, which would free $ to sign Kyle Korver and set up future deals.

@wojespn: Sources: Suns out on Millsap pursuit, turning to use cap space to absorb $ dumps paired w/ assets. Open to moving vets, going all-in young.

@daldridgetnt: Suns indeed abruptly ended pursuit of Paul Millsap, who they were enthusiastic about last night. Price point too high. Helps Minny, Denver.

@daldridgetnt: Hearing MIN also may be out of Millsap talks, clearing the way for possible resolution w/Denver, meeting w/him tonight. Would be great fit.

Ok, I understand the reality of that only being 13% of your team's cap space, but those sort of contracts add up and really hinder the ability to go from good to great IMHO. I mean the guy is 29 and averaged 7 points a game!

Its the glue guy in Utah....really underrated player. Fun fact: Stupid Doc Rivers waived him back in 2014 to sign Jared Cunningham. And after that he nonstop searched for a SF

Fair enough, but do you really think he's worth double what a younger, better Jaw Crowder is worth? I understand the cap situation is different now, but it isn't 200% different. Again, all IMO. Maybe I'm a cheap-ass.

Voj says it's closer to 48/3. 16 mil a year is pretty steep for an older Iggy. Makes Matthews contract now seem reasonable.

Crowder is one of the last bargain contracts in the league, you cant compare it. Sucks for Crowder, he lost a lot of money.

Solide roleplayers are going now for 10-12m a year. MLE players in the year 2006-2012 are getting now 10-12m. People need to get used to this numbers. If you are a solid starter, you are going to earn in double figures...

@BobbyMarks42: Golden State now has $130M in guaranteed contracts that include the three-year, $48M Andre Iguodala contract and $31.8M projected Kevin Durant salary. If the Warriors fill out their roster with minimum contracts their total salaries will be $137.5M with a luxury tax bill of $40.2M.

Value of the franchise went from 2010 until now from 450m to 2.5b

It doesnt matter if they shell out 300-400m in luxury tax over the next five years, the franchise will gain even more value with a handful more rings

@sam_amick: The Kings' offer for Andre Iguodala, I'm told, was for 2 years at a similar annual rate as Warriors three-year, $48 million deal.

Ingles is no superstar but he's a versatile player, can guard 3-4 positions, shot 44% from 3 last season and can act as a secondary ball handler. But if his staying helps keep Hayward then it's a value contract, no matter what.

Over $20 million a year (1/5th of your cap) dedicated to a declining power forward when you likely could've signed Patrick Patterson who also hits threes and is actually a better perimeter defender for half that. Yikes. Unfortunately, this doesn't bode well for our Noel contract.

That being said, Raps are in a tough spot. They just got swept by the Cavs and DeRozan is in his prime. They really should try to move Valanciunias and Carroll, although I'm not sure who you'll convince to take on the latter of those contracts.

I think they re-sign Lowry and give it one more go before blowing it up next offseason.

Well, if Ibaka is making 3/65, then you can be sure Noel is in for a big pay day.

Yeah it's still funny money in the NBA. A while back I hoped we could keep Curry for 8-10 but was prepared for 10-12 and afraid it would be 12-15. At this point I'd be shocked if it wasn't 15+ if he has a season like last year.

I really don't think we're keeping Curry long term. He has too many weaknesses and will cost too much money. And if we don't make the playoffs, then you can be sure of that.
