I was just about to make the same joke. Followill needs a new partner. I miss Bob Ortegal.

He needs a new partner but I was tired of Bob myself. His "keys to the game" I always laughed out loud at. It would be stuff like "Grab rebounds" "hit open shots" "outscore the other team" ... ok maybe not that last one but seriously haha.

Yeah but he was easily the smartest PA guy in the league when it came to basketball. I like that he talks about the simple fundamentals of basketball because sadly lots of professional players don't do them. And it works for a younger/lesser informed audience too that might not know a lot about basketball and how the rules work. Great voice too.

Followill is the only guy I really pay attention to. Skin can be decent in his gushing when we're winning. Otherwise he is pretty annoying.

It's strange. When we did the three games in four nights, I was actually kinda weary of Mavs content. I liked cheering for the losses, but it was too much.
Now we won a game and have three days off and I'm jonesing for Mavs stuff

I know 3 days off sucks. Great for the players, bad for us.

I'll probably try to catch the second half of OKC-Denver to get my fix. Haven't seen Jokic/Milsap combo yet much except in bits against the Nets.

Idk what else Wade can say about it. Not like he or anyone else would turn their nose up and refuse the benefit of those phantom calls in the moment. Maybe Dirk, is the answer to is there any players who might admit years later that he wasn't fouled that much.

The Mavs really need to seek out trades for Harris and JJ. Both guys are playing great this year off the bench and are dangerously close to ruining the Mavs tank season.
I mean I love having those guys on the team if your trying to win. It this team needs to lose again for at least this season in order to get one of those top 4 players (not including Porter here).
Plus I’d like to see Harris and JJ have another shot at winning. Both guys play with a ton of heart and would be a great addition to any playoff teams bench. Harris in Golden State? JJ in Cleveland?

I could see the Mavs trading one of them (Harris), but not both. I'd hate to see either go because of their leadership, professionalism, and ability to mentor the young guys, but neither fit the long term plans and I'm sure either could net us a draft pick.

This guy rarely ever tweets about the Mavs, so I'm guessing he strongly agrees with this article...

@MFollowill: Announced tonight, Derek Harper jersey retirement night is January 7th. Harp's #12 joins Ro Blackman (#22) and Brad Davis (#15) as Mavs retired numbers. Harp is the Mavs all time leader in assists & steals, 3rd in games, 4th in points

Mavs’ Seth Curry was counting on breakout season. Here’s why it’s been ‘very frustrating’

early In the season when they were saying week-to-week, I thought he’d be out until January. Now I’m starting to think that he won’t be back this season.

Right? He can't even do full workouts, which means I highly doubt he's sniffed 5 on 5 practices at best. Still resorting to running in the pool. Crazy injury, but perhaps it secures Curry past this season? I still think he's an excellent piece to have, if only for a bench role. But I think his upside could be more...

Yeah it may make him cheap this offseason. I figured playing next to Smith he'd average 20-25points and make us a contender, but he'd get an offer for 14-20 mill this summer. The injury could mean he's cheap.
Some players never come back from leg/knee injuries, but at the very least jump-shooting is one of the least leg-intensive things they do. Players can go off of one leg, adjust their leg work, etc. and if their fundamentals are good in the core and arms area, then it's a fairly easy adjustment to get back to being a sharpshooter. If Curry comes back, I'd bet he can still hit a wicked three pointer and that's hopefully all he'll be asked to do with Smith running things.

Those are high expectations. Not saying he could do it, but I'd be happy with an increase to 16-18 ppg for Curry. All I wanted to see was improvement from him and I would have locked him up for 3-4 years. I see him as more of a $10mm per year. But yes, if he had the crazy 20-25 ppg break out season, he'd easily land in that range you suggested.

Rick just said Curry will play sometime in 2018: "hopefully sometime after the All-Star break, but if not, he'll be ready for the fall."
I can't tell when he's joking, but he did not seem like he was joking.

Another two year deal with a team option on the second. Come on back, Seth.
