Default Sammy Sosa

Its as simple as this for me.

I do not care who it is- whether it is Barry Bonds, mark Mgwire, A-rod, Sosa. You have been caught on national TV with a corked bat. There is no way to know whether he uses it regularly or whether he did not know it was corked. He needs to be penalised for that.

the thing is, the cubs had more than enough time to remove any other corked bats from sammy's locker if necessary.

and you're right, it only takes one corked bat...

i'm not sure if they could really make a good judgement by stopping to analyze his previous at bats or what not....maybe this was the first time that he did in fact cheat..but if it was, oh well... he still made the decision to cheat.

exactly, murphy. he cheated, plain and simple. it doesn't matter if it was intentional or not. he still cheated and as such should be punished.

Is there any question that this guy is nothing short of a sorry individual? Did anyone else see that crap that he pulled with Barajas last night? The Rangers need to hit that sorry S.O.B. right between the eyes with a 95mph fastball.

That slide was intentional no doubt. Barajas is likely to miss a few games with a nasty gash on his forearm. Today the Orioles were saying that Sosa had called to apologize claiming that he has never been able to slide properly.

What a crock.

Very surprised they didn't have RicRod throw at him tonight. Yeah he apologized, but if Rod's going to miss significant time, I don't think I agree w/the message this is sending. It could have been worse than that, did you see how high up his spikes came?

If the guy were injured by a thrown pitch and never played the game again, baseball would be better because of it.

I can't believe we didn't stick the first pitch he saw into the ear hole on Sosa's helmet.

Honestly, it just wasn't a good time. Sosa usually lead off innings or came to bat with runners on base.

At first I thought the play was dirty. Then I rationalized the situation and said to myself that if you block the plate then you get what you get. However, when you watch the replay Barajas in no way blocked the plate. Sosa had a clean path to the bag but decided to become a thug. Barajas should have punched the sucker right in his mouth and whipped his old, frail steroid starved skinny ass. Both he and McGuire are the biggest frauds in the history of baseball.
