Too bad there are so many Lebron haters in the media who have made it their quest to claim the 2011 Mavs were a weak team to further their anti-Lebron agenda.
It's gotten to the point where it's accepted "truth" that the Mavs were an inferior team that "Lebron should have beaten". The Mavs didn't win...'Lebron choked". I guess that means that Kobe, Gasol, KD, Westbrook, Harden, Wade, Bosh, and Aldridge also decided to "choke" the same season...what a coincidence. The Mavs couldn't have had anything to do with that, right? All this will also claiming that the East is weak and the West is tough. ....Except for 2011 apparently. Then it doesn't count that the Mavs came out of the tough West and even SWEPT the 2 time defending champs in the process. The Mavs beating the Heat (not "Lebron") in their 1st season together was pretty impressive....but nothing compared to what the Mavs did the champs. Ask Kobe, Gasol, and Phil about those "weak" Mavs. |

On this day in 2011 the Dallas Mavericks won their first NBA championship by defeating the Miami Heat in Game 6 of the NBA Finals. Hard to think it’s already been 9 years.
