Granted one of the Green shots was due to the shot clock, but as always, he's trying to hard. He wants to impress Carlisle and get some playing time.

If he got more consistant playing time, I think some of his stupid shots would go away. However, it still doesn't excuse them.

Let Green play 48 minutes and he may break Wilt's 100 point game. He damn sure will put up enough shots. Let's see... 5 shots for 2 minutes. That means he'll shoot 92 shots. He will just have to make about 40 of them. That may be doable if he gets fouled. Or hoits a few 3s.

BG, I agree about the jumper over McRoberts. But Green just doesn't have great handles. He has freakish jumping ability. But can't dribble that well.

Bass is the most overhyped pllayer on the Mavs. He is a 6'6" power forward who has no post moves. His only vvalue is hitting the 15 footer if the defender gives him space. But if they crowd him, he is screwed. He can't dribble or pass.

And defensively the Mavs are terrible with him as the PF and Dirk the center.

He can't defend in the post, on the ball...plain and simple. He bites on fakes and gets out of position.

Barea might not be a great shooter, but he is tolerable. It was a better shot than the other attempt he had behind the arc.

From here on out Dirk just needs to shoot 25+ times every game. And he needs to think: shot every time in the 4th quarters of games. I think that was part of the problem last night. Dirk only like 2 shots last night against Atlanta in the 4th. He needed to shoot a lot more than that in the 4th.
