Default Plea to Mods

Mods,

I'm still waiting for the dead horse forum. But on a more serious note, can you do anything with the political forum? It's starting to get junked up with multiple threads on similar topics. Maybe it has a lot to do with the upcoming election, and people don't know whether to organize threads by candidate or by topic, but we're ending up with new threads every time a candidate says anything about any topic. Can you merge threads yourself, or at least repost some guidelines in that forum?

If this type of request is old, and something you are tired of dealing with . . . please move it to the dead horse forum.

I think we should just rename the political forum the "the "deadhorse forum" and be done with it.

I merged the umpteen thousand Ron Paul threads...

Any more requests? The rest seemed okay with the exception of Hillary threads... .but I can't merge poll threads with others without losing the poll.

Thanks.
No more requests. It seems to have gotten harder to keep a coherent discussion going in there lately. There's a lot of single post threads, and a lot of discussion gets splintered across several threads. That's the nature of political discussion in some sense, maybe. And maybe it's got something to do with discussion of politicians vs. discussion of political topics, but it seems we used to be able to keep it a little more organized. I don't know what can be done to keep the forum a little more coherent.

ha. I think the nature of politics is to convince others that dead horses are not only alive, but vital to your very existence.

I'd like to have dude post in his own "Fight against global terrorism"-thread... And then I'd like a "bomb them candidates"-thread for all our Guiliani, Romney and so on supporters.

Here's a theory...!!!!!

One will always think the side they're not on posts too much about topics that aren't important and in ways that don't make sense.

Ah, politics.

ul you do have a valid point regarding the proliferation of threads on similar topics, threads which could have easily been put under an existing title. and yes it does get a bit much....

that and my peeve, the changing of colors throughout the post producing a rainbow affect. like that makes the part changed more..what exactly? I don't know..

just as the posting of new threads, this too is better when done in moderation.

otoh the thread activity keeps it somewhat more, well, active.....

and your posting about it may produce just what you're looking for.

I don't know guys, I think those extra threads are pretty helpful. I'm just starting to figure out who Janett_Reno might think will win the election. But I'm not quite sure, so I think we should let those extra threads run their course, since I am really, really interested in Janett's opinion.

That's good. Because Janett's not shy about sharing her opinion. No siree.
