I take it that those are the projected salaries in 03/04 and not the projected cap space. If so, that is misleading as players with bird rights still count against the cap (I think at 85% of their last year's salary) until their rights are renounced. Obviously, Denver will renounce Juwan Howard. But I doubt San Antonio renounces Duncan and there are many other examples. In truth, there will probably be 4 teams with room to sign a FA for the max.

San Antonio includes Duncan

Player 2002/03 2003/04
Tim Duncan $12,072,500 $13,279,500
David Robinson $10,500,000 $0
Steve Smith $9,900,000 $0
Malik Rose $4,200,000
Antonio Daniels $3,375,000 $0
Bruce Bowen $3,360,000 $3,733,333
Emanuel Ginobili $1,396,500 $1,543,500
Speedy Claxton $1,076,400 $1,667,927
Tony Parker $800,400 $856,200
Amal McCaskill $612,435 $0
Charles Smith $612,435 $0
Stephen Jackson $587,435 $0
TOTALS: $48,493,105 $19,412,533

Malik Rose is not updated yet but otherwise it seems accurate. The Spurs will be able to lure another top free agent to go with Duncan.
