Default Mavs Trade Idea

okay before this blog closes. Do any trades sound like a good idea? Kevin Martin, Tayshaun Prince, or JJ Hickson sound VERY interesting with the roster the Mavs assembled this year.

Whoa, is the forum shutdown causing a rift in the spacetime continuum? Is it 2012 again?

Tayshaun Prince and Kevin Garnett shouldn't be playing NBA basketball.

He said Kevin Martin.
Wouldn't mind adding Martin if Wolves decide to buy him out.

I know what he said, and I still stand by what I said. Tayshaun Prince is one of the worst players in the league. Grueling watching him and Garnett struggle on a crappy Wolves team.

Martin isn't very good these days and never healthy. I guess take a look if he is bought out, but meh.

Hard to gauge decent players on bad teams but I'd definitely like him if bought out.
I'm beginning to think our greatest need is backup PF. Not sure if any are available but it appears Powell isn't Rick's cup of tea.

Man, there are absolutely zero trade rumors associated with the Mavs right now...

I don't think there will be.
The Mavs are full of average players and we don't have any major weaknesses. We could always use a wing defender and/or a scorer off the bench but I don't see us giving up anything to bring in another average player at this point.
Having said that it wouldn't surprise me if someone like Darrell Arthur is on our radar.

Might as well keep what we have and continue to build chemistry.

@mavsmoneyball: Mark Cuban on the trade deadline: 'I don't even know when it is'

Secretly happy about that. Unless there is a fire sale, we don't have much to gain by shopping aggressively. We are more likely to improve through free agency. We also have no assets.

Earl K. Sneed: Mark Cuban says “nothing is really tempting to us” as the trade deadline approaches. @Dallas Mavericks like the team currently constructed.

No sense on taking a chance of giving up a good attitude for a potential bad.
In other words Rondo and Odom have hopefully made Cuban and Donnie a little trade shy.

This is a very coachable team as players seem to embrace their current roles. Just need to continue to build chemistry and then add the missing pieces in the off-season.

I think we should try to trade Josh Howard for Allen Iverson

Okay, I'm finally cool with it. Villanueva for Durant.

Now hear me out.

Why we do it: We need a PF to shoot threes and Villanueva can't do it. Durant has been okay at it.

Why they do it: Villanueva is a nice guy who everyone wants. Durant is walking in the offseason anyway. Might as well ship him out for an upgrade.

Meh.

I mean, Durant is okay, but he's no Villanueva.

The lack of eyebrows makes him sleek, hard to catch.

I was thinking Cuban could go for a waxing after cryotherapy. I think he can afford it.
