DraftExpress has Lawson going to the Nets at 11...so he's basically a crapshoot after the top 10.
DE had us taking Chase Budinger from 'Zona.
nbadraft.net had us taking Jeff Teague from Wake Forrest

Teague would definitely help patch up the hole that Harris left. He would be an absolute steal at 22 IMHO.
It's nice to finally have a first round pick again.

Doesn't mean we won't trade the rights to whoever we pick, if it helps get a bigger-impact player in here.

Did anyone see that Rubio is talking about not wanting to play for Memphis or other certain places. His agent said that he wants to be in California, so that would mean the Clippers or the Kings. He would threaten to just pass up the opportunity to come over if he has to play for a Memphis or something. I think Rubio has to get a buy-out or something to get out of his contract with his Euro team as well, so that's not seen as great incentive to try to get out just to go to Memphis or OKC or something.

The Grizz already have Mayo & Conley in the backcourt, right? I would think they'd be interested in moving the pick. Wonder how willing the Clips would be to swap 1 for 2 given their glut of front-court players...especially if they could get rid of Davis in the process.

Mayo is a SG who has passing ability. I don't think they're really thrilled with him. Other than his outside shooting and FT%...what did he dramatically improve on from year 1 to year 2? And he had more talent around him in year 2.
I can clearly see why they'd look at Rubio.
It makes sense for Memphis to go with him or if Rubio is serious then push hard to talk to the Clippers. Blake and Gasol would be quite a duo.

I'd be cool with Budinger or Lawson. But I don't see any way Lawson is there at that spot to be honest.

Lawson would be awesome...I just don't see how he drops to 22, we'd have to move up to get him.
Budinger, I don't think so. I get the feeling that is a guy Donnie would love to have though.

I'd love Lawson or Chase. NO WAY Lawson goes that low though. Book it now, quote me. Chase is nice, he's really athletic and can stroke the three ball and he's a good passer. Sometimes he's too passive and he needs to bulk up a little though. But an athletic scorer who can shoot the 3...we sure could use that instead of the usual George/Singleton/Stack.

Would not mind this pick, ran circles around Team USA last summer. High end Tony Parker low end, Kyle Lowry.

I think Lawson will be gone. I've changed my wish list to 1)Patrick Mills 2)Sam Young 3)Jeff Teague 4)Jerel McNeal(w/ a later pick)- he's this year's Courtney Lee.
that's just players i'm familiar with. Have no opinion about Israeli or french dudes i haven't seen play.

Here's another NBA mock draft
8:52 AM Fri, May 29, 2009 | Permalink | Yahoo! Buzz
Richard Durrett E-mail News tips
NBADraft.net has put together an updated mock draft (as of yesterday) and they have the Mavericks taking Israel's Omri Casspi, a 6-8, 225-pound small forward. They break down Casspi, saying his strengths are attacking the basket and using his long and athletic frame. He's also a good outside shooter. His weaknesses are lack of body strength and he struggles at taking defenders off the dribble and creating his own shots.
It should be noted that nbadraft.net has eight point guards off the board before the Mavericks pick at No. 22. Blake Griffin, Ricky Rubio and Hasheem Thabeet are their top 3 picks.

If the draft turns out like that mock, we need to pick Terrence Williams.

Williams seems decent, but he also seems like an Antoine Wright clone from his profile. Mock drafts are all over the place after the first few picks. Ford has Jrue Holiday in the top 10 when some have him in the bottom 20. Pretty wacky stuff.

Terrance Williams is a better ball handler and shooter than Wright, also has PG like Vision and passing skills, Wright is a better defender though, Williams is solid defensively.

How about Tyler Hansbrough? He's our pick in the present DraftExpress mock.
