The golden boy rules. He is gonna win it. Noway mosley knocks him down now. Hoya is too experienced to fall into it.

ROUND 11
Good right from Shane and Oscar is tentative. Mosley lands another hard right that glances off Oscar as De La Hoya ducks in. Shane seems to have just a little more energy and snap in his punches at this point. They clinch twice with little action in close. Very little action until Mosley lands a monster hook, and Oscar fires back with a vicious one two! Shane bulls him into the ropes with a minute left. Shane comes forward with fast hands but can't land. Mosley's mouthpiece comes flying out after a huge left uppercut! Twenty seconds left in the round. Mosley fires a big one two that Oscar slips, but the brawl is on.

The 12th was for Oscar.

He won but Mosley fought very well (and he was classy up there).

According to me GB won it by a good margin. I will be pissed off if they call it a draw.

That is the worst decision in the history of boxing....unanimous!?! WTF
This is why boxing has been on a steady decline ever since Ali retired the last time.

Oscar said he (they) was going to hire lawyers to demand a legal review on the decision.

George Foreman was very angry last night. He said, "something is going on", implying that it was arranged.

Well I watched the fight tonight. It looked like a draw to me but I can see where the judges could prefer Mosley. He was the aggressor in the fight for the whole night.

Looking at the copy box numbers, I thought Dela Hoya was the clear cut winner. He landed and threw more punches that Mosley.

But Dela Hoya never hurt Mosley - he never even slowed him down. Punching stats are like counting 1st downs in football - they don't tell who the winner is. Mosley clearly won the last four rounds and overcame DH's lead on the judge's scorecards.

The problem >to me< was the announcers. They saw a fight that the judges did not see. And they relayed a perception that Dela Hoya was dominating the fight and he wasn't.

I can understand why the announcers would do that. Oscar's contract is with HBO. And Oscar always gives HBO good ratings.

Did you listen the interviews just after the fight, stilll on the ring?

Even Mosley seemed surprised, and maybe some ashamed. He is a classy boxer (at least in this fight) and he seemed to look not very happy after the decision. Not to tell that he didn't like it, but he was kind of serious about it, not usual in a boxer that had a very hard fight and won.

But now it's history.
