Best Defensive players in football

I have just started watching, and I like hittin people on defense.

So who are the best of the best, position doesnt matter as long as it is defense.

Ray Lewis - Bada$$
Warren Sapp - Last season his hit almost ended the career of a player.
Woody - His hit on a WR got him a fine for $75000 last season.

This list is endless.

I am with murph on Romanowski. I think he is a little overrated.

If you want alltime defensive list, then you can take the entire defensive unit of Pittsburgh steelers which won 4 superbowls.

I don't think Bill is a top 10 guy. Like I said I left alot of guys out like Charles Woodson, Shawn Springs, Derrick Brooks, Zach Thomas etc. Those are just some guys that I have seen more than once play. When it comes to naming defensive players I think you can name up to 50 guys who you can list who are good defensive players. I was thinking about listing Julius Peppers but I wasn't sure if he just dominated us or he did that against the whole league. He is a future pro bowler regardless though.

FFM, I was going to mention Julius Peppers too. I like him because he's a Tar Heel, but the man is an absolute stud DE. He had 12 sacks in his rookie year last year in the 12 games he played in. He's going to be a star for years to come. His teammate, Kris Jenkins, ain't too shabby either. Some people say he is the best tackle in the game - even better than Sapp.

i like a lot of the guys mentioned (except romo), but i'll add a few.

i've always liked keith brooking. dwightfreeney is a good, young DE. javon kearse has been a little off recently, but he's still a freak of nature. simeon rice has been playing well since moving to the bucs. i also like takeo spikes. taylor from miami is a good, fast DE. of course there are more... but these are guys i like that i can think of right away and haven't been mentioned.

i do like arrington, though. he's a great player and seems to be a cool guy as well. now if he would just join the damn player's union or whatever so he'll have his name in Madden...

i like most DEs and LBs. there aren't too many CBs or S i like, even if they are good. lynch is ok. archuleta is ok.
