Pilger is as pro-common-worker as it gets. That ideology used to be called Socialism, but true Socialism was taken over by oligarchs long ago. Obama is the Establishment's wet dream. With a violent Hegelian swing of the pendulum, we went from a fake conservative/fake values/fake democracy to a fake socialist/fake compassion/fake democracy. It must be fun for the true owners of this country to sit back and watch people who have readily assumed a prefabricated template they drew up bicker like they have any say in the outcome. Organized politics, like organized religion, seems to be devoid of personal accountability and full of false pride.

It took several years for the nominal right to break with bush....bet the break comes even sooner with the nominal left. It's just a matter of time before they realize we're not pulling out of iraq, and that giving trillions to wall street bankers isn't the sort of change they had in mind.
