Default What'

Someone mentioned Barry's non-approved Czars. I honestly do not recall this occuring in the past or recall Barry doing this. Anyone have an opinion about these dudes/dudettes? Someone railing against them put together this list, but to be honest I don't know much about what they do/do not have control over. Well except the Government Motors and the TARP billions.

Quote:
Czars have no one to answer to but Obama,
they do not have to be approved by congress

29 Czar's?

When did these positions become official?
What is the responsibility and authority of these positions?
How much money is allocated for these positions (Salary + Bonus + Expenses + Other)?

How do they relate to positions used by previous Presidents and Administrations?

G.W. Bush's Czars:

Donald E. Powell - Gulf Coast Czar
John P. Walters - Drug Czar
Karen Hughes - Public Diplomacy Czar
Lt. Gen. Douglas Lute - War Czar
Randall Tobias - AIDS Czar
Dr. Mark Dybul - AIDS Czar
Richard Stickler - Mine Safety Czar
John Negroponte - Intelligence Czar
Otto Reich - Latin America Czar
Unidentified - Copyright Czar
Unidentified - Spy Czar
Unidentified - Health Czar
Unidentified - Privacy Czar
Unidentified - Corruption Czar

I couldn't find some of the names, but the positions are documented (he might have had more czars - there isn't much info about it online...)

Here's a Wiki link for more info on US Czars - I suggest checking the 'References' section because Wiki is somewhat inconsistent...

I wouldn't want anyone to know my name if I had utterly failed at copyright protection either.

Now this guy...

Stimulus accountability czar-- Earl Devaney

He sounds like an interesting fellow.

Off the top of my head, a few czar positions we need....

anachronistic russian terms for dictator czar (the 'is it tsar or czar czar?')
freedom czar (an autocrat responsible for ensuring that we have liberty whether we like it or not)
SARS Czar (maybe more than one, SARS Czars)
The OMC How Bizarre Czar (overseer of catchy 90's tunes and the phrase, 'ooh baby')
Nancy Pelosi Facelift Czar

just to name a few
