After tonights game JVG will protest that the NBA is unfairly penalizing his team by removing his team from the playoffs just because they lost 4 consecutive games.

RE:Official Game 6 thread: Dallas @ Houston
Amen brother. I'm really hope Damp can stay out of foul trouble this time. Most of these fouls are unforced and totally ridiculous. Sure, Yao will draw a couple throughout the entire game, but in game 5 for example, two of the fouls were nowhere near Yao. The first one was on McGrady in a fast-break, and the other was on a moving pick. We all keep hoping for Dirk to go on a tear and score 40+, but I don't think we can ever get our hopes up about that. It sure would be nice though...

this will be close till the end
(of the 2. quarter)
Dampier and Nowitzki will silence all critics
and the Rockets start choking as of about now
Mavs by 11

One of the headlines I read earlier today said "Rockets Rally Behind Fined Coach".
Now in a Rockets Fan's Mind, that means they're going to come out tonight and play reallllllllyyyyy hard and win the game.
But in MY mind, it just means that the players have decided to organize a FREE JVG CAR WASH Saturday night outside the Toyata Center.
Scrub, Scrub, Scrub Away Jon Barry! You're not coming back to the AAC!
Mavs by double digits.

Yes, you will see us in game 7... on TV. Game 7 of course being in the second round against Phoenix, or maybe even in the WCF against the Spurs.

as long as the mavs come out and play it close in the first half, they'll pull this one out. they have to match the rockets intensity, but once the rox see it's not working, they'll lose it mentally and physically.

RE: Official Game 6 thread: Dallas @ Houston
It will be embarrasing. Terry alone will F the Rockets bench. Stackhouse will be a cold-blooded killer. Finley will annihalate the scoreboard with an onslaught of 3's. And I haven't even mentioned Dirk..... for that you will just have to watch and see what he has in store for you.
Mavs - 983
Rockets - 1 (Yao gets fouled 13 times and shoots 1/24 from the charity stripe)
Killer mentality fellas. Killer mentality. The dogs are down, kick them hard.

Houston will be scrapping for every possession, so Dallas must keep their poise and compete. If Houston wants to win this, then make them truly earn it. Otherwise, I believe Dallas will take this one in another close game.
Dallas - 89
Houston - 87

RE:Official Game 6 thread: Dallas @ Houston
Houston will get all of the calls tonight.
Mavs need to be perfect and specifically cannot turn the ball over a lot.
I'm interested to see how we do against the TMAC-Yao pick and roll.
They must continue to sandwich the pick and roll. They abandoned that at the end of game 5.
Also at the end of game 5, Yao faked the pick and walked it home. We'll see him do that more. I'm sure Avery saw that.
Bring on the Mantis?

RE: Official Game 6 thread: Dallas @ Houston
Not sure what to predict. I think the Rox will use that pick and roll to death. It depends on whether those bombers from the Rockets will hit their outside shots. I think this is the game Dirk breaksout of his slump. This game will be different because Dirk will cause real headaches. I also have the feeling that once the game gets out of hand, TMac will get an injury to his leg or back. Don't know if it will be legit but it will be an excuse that he wasn't part of the losing and maybe, if he was there, the Rockets could come back.

I'm looking for a breakout game for Dampier tonight. I want to see Yao get man-handled on both ends of the court. Let's go Mavs, put the animal in the corner out of its misery.

RE:Official Game 6 thread: Dallas @ Houston
I may be an unbeliever still, but I don't see the Mavs winning this one tonight. They almost blew an 11 point lead in the fourth quarter last time and all of these games have come down to the final quarter.
Houston will have the refs on thier side. They will catch Finley out of bounds. They will not call a phantom call from Padgett on Finley in the corner. They will allow a moving pick on the last shot. Mike James will continue to torch Terry. Our big men will be in foul trouble.
Houston will be playing with more urgency because they have more urgency.
If Bradley hits the floor tonight. Forget all I just said, Mavs will dominate.
I just can't believe that I still have to wait 5 more hours!

Mavs recipe:
Stay within shouting distance till the 4th Qtr...then Houston and Dallas will both know how it ends and the Rox self destruct their way to the Fishin' Hole!

I don't think t-mac will have a "great" game. He is under so much pressure blowing ANOTHER playoff series, that he is going to freak out and not play that well. I predict a mavs win.
Mavs - 107
Rockets - 104
