both these teams look like hot sheet. Maybe its cause the Mavs are tired but nobody should pay to watch this 2nd half

4-14... Dirk's in a slump. That's not him.

OJ Mayo will play well when he plays next to a real PG and plays as an off the ball player. When Knight returns 100%, who his game looks like Collison's, he will struggle just like he did with us.

He is in on a natural talent spiral.

Dont think it is a talent spiral. More like an attitude spiral.
Fifference between a lion that hasnt been fed and one that has just ate a large lunch. Dirk has already been fed.

Nice win to bounce back. 4-3, good to be on the positive end.

Kinda fun to see Butler and Mayo play well against their old team to try and stick it to them. Too bad the rest of the Bucks suck ass.

I'll take the W.
Just remember, this Bucks team is terrible. This is not a Win against a LOT of teams.
Please shake this off, Dirk.

Thumbing through it, these GDTs sure are a bit spicier with the return of Cad.

Shake the bad shooting off. Don't think it is a major problem, he missed wide open shots and that might be just due to fatigue after playing three games in four days.

Amazing isn't it. All you have to do is put a little more pressure on him.

Ellis and Dirk currently have EXTREMELY close TS%. That is a little shocking to me.
Dirk: 58.4 This is about where Dirk has been for his Career
Ellis: 57.6 This would be near a career high for Monta
Small sample size to predict anything, but nice to see any way.
I hoping this is a sign that Rick has gotten through to Monta and that Monta really does want to prove something in Dallas.
Monta is also assuredly benefiting from the "Dirk Bump".

Not even that. He puts pressure on himself and becomes a mental midget when it matters. To be fair, he and Butler were the only ones worth squat on that team with their injuries. Still, amazing that he can play so well and come up short when it matters.
And I think Monta has been pretty darn good so far. He needs to cut back on turnovers, but hey, Harden turns it over like crazy as well. And guess what...you CAN put Monta in the same sentence as Harden comparison-wise.

He has had a BUNCH of "whoopsy" type TOs where the ball just seems to pop out...I wonder if that will be a constant?
He has also suffered a bunch of "my teammate can't catch a well passed ball" TOs, which I am hoping we will see greatly lessen as the season progresses.

Well I like that Monta does pass to his teammates...even if some get snatched away. I mean, the passing and the pressure on the opposing defense are infinitely better than they were last season.

Is it safe to say that other than Dirk, there hasn't been another player in the Dirk era that defenses had had to be as mindful of as Ellis?

Umm...Monta is like Harden in that they both turn it over a lot and often have poor shot selection. But that's it. I hate Harden. He's a selfish, flopping black hole who plays no defense. But he's a much better player than Ellis.

But Fin's prime fell off a cliff by the time Dirk hit his own prime... And even considering Dirk's drop in production as he ages, the Dirk-Ellis combo might be the strongest overlap in talent we've had in the Dirk era.
