Cocktails...
I've just become slightly obsessed with making cocktails at home
and I was curious as to what cocktails other posters here enjoy.
So go forth and post recipes for your faves, or even your own creations
and help me stay anything but sober

Tequila shots. They are like boobies. One is too less and three is too many.

RE: Cocktails...
Tequila flag.
One shot of tequila, one of lemon -you lime- and one of sangria. One after the other, the mix is in the stomach. It tastes great.

RE: Cocktails...
Mint Julips are definitely my homemade cocktail of choice. To make a great one, use a pewter or silver mug, fill with crushed ice and about 6 or 7 leaves of fresh mint, pour in a sugar solution consisting of about 1 tsp of sugar and 1 Tbsp warm water mixed, and then fill to the top with a good Kentucky bourbon. Stir it around and sip on it over the course of a warm afternoon for a fine old time.
Some folks would advocate crushing or mashing the mint leaves first, but I love the taste of good bourbon on it's own, so crushing the mint makes the whiskey taste just a bit too adulterated to my own taste.

RE: Cocktails...
Beer - grab a 12 ounce bottle in one hand (preferrably the hand you do not favor - I am right handed so I grab the bottle with my left hand). With your free hand, grab the bottle cap (this can be found at the very top of the bottle). Twist cap until it opens. If this fails, and you cannot get the bottle to open you will need to find a church key (I have also heard this referred to as a bottle opener) and use this contraption to pry open the bottle. Once opened, you can either drink it straight from the bottle or for those really really special occasions you can put Beer mugs in the freezer about 15-20 minutes before opening the Beer, then remove the cold Beer mug out of the freezer and pour the freshly opened Beer into it.
Enjoy!

RE: Cocktails...
I prefer shots over actual cocktails, (favorite shot is a B-52), but regarding my favorite cocktail, I would have to go with the classic... Jack and coke!
