What a great way for a future hall of famer in Kobe to retire. 60 points and hitting the game winner to end your career? WOW.Kobe was my Michael Jordan since I never got to see Jordan while he still played in the NBA. I will remember him for his clutch shots and taking over games. His never giving up mentality reminded me of Dirk. Plus Kobe respects Dirk which makes me like him even more. Sad day but soon it will be for the tall baller from the G

@MikeSGallagher: Stephen Curry’s final shot chart on the season. 66.9 TS% is so crazy. 402/886 from 3. Stupid midrange shots btw.

Kobe took 16,5 Shots per Game this season while making a horrible 35% (28% from deep). He made 20M $ this year.
So much for mentoring the young players and helping his team.
Generational Talent for sure but one of the biggest selfish players the game ever had.
It was clear when he signed another Max while he was already declining in a big way. Dirk would have taken another pay cut to stay competitive and help his Team.
Also a bitter taste that he only got his Rings while playing with Prime Shaq (who basically did most of the work) and with the Super Lakers with Gasol, Odom, Artest, Phil Jackson etc.
in their prime.
He never could carry a Team alone like Dirk did.
Goodbye Kobe but i wont miss you.

The comments section of this article sum up Kobe's career pretty well:
Quote:
DWMitch
You cynical f*cks can go f*ck yourselves, 60 points on 50 shots is literally the perfect ending to Kobe’s career.
Kobe lovers are gonna say “OMG 60 points”
then Kobe haters will bitch about it taking 50 shots
then Kobe lovers will point out that they won
then Kobe haters will talk about his efficiency rating or some bullsh!t
It’s PERFECT. It’s his entire career in one game. Sh!t usually doesn’t match up so well, enjoy the absurdity.

Quote:
SeriouslyDontChallengeDeadspin
And then the rest of us will mention that he is a rapist.

Lakers probably have up 5 wins this season by playing Kobe instead of anyone else on their roster they could have given the minutes to. But that wouldn't have gotten them into the playoffs anyway, so whatever. Money is money. And prima donnas are prima donnas. You sure took a lot of bad shots, Kobe. K thanks. Bye.

And Lakers get the best chance at #1 pick Ben Simmons. If you're gonna tank, might as well do it while paying a guy that won 5 championships. You can hate all you want, but the logic is sound.
Edit: Sorry, Sixers still have best chance at #1.

Happy for Curry and the Warriors. No reason to really hate on him or the team.

I actually think Houston could win against the Warriors. If they can put together a good stretch.... They have the talent and players.
Of course I am rooting for the Mavs and think they can win
Spurs will take care of thins easily and Cluppera will too since I think Portland is too inexperienced even though they have played good ball.

112-92 (L)
114-110 (L)
123-110 (L)
Looks like they're going to have to figure out how to score over 110 if they want to win even one...

Still standing with my prediction of Rockets in 6. 1 Curry ankle problem can turn this series around. Rockets will be motivated game 2.
