Default One Atlanta Tea Party canceled due to Democrat opposition

http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/...rty_cance.html

I have no issue with this in general. After all it's private property.

The issue of course is the timing of the objection. Waiting until this late shows no respect for an opposing view...either that, or some serious incompatence from the property management.

Nevertheless, the new revolution has begun and the voice of the Americans will be heard. Funny, "the Man" is now the left and the people are opposed to the "Man"

Perhaps this is a more uniting opposition, as the protest is at the poor spending taking place in the government...past and present. People are tired of it all, hopefully from this grass roots operation, we will find some true leadership that will work their way into the government and create change that we can trust.

typically there are several parties who own parts of mall tracts, the anchor department stores (in this project that's macy's, sears, jc penney and belk), the owner of the shops (simon prop co) and then the peripheral pad sites that have the restaurants, retail strip centers, free standing stores, etc.

any one of them could object to the event and make a case that it violates the covenants in the operating agreement or the access agreement that govern the development.

to say that the event was cancelled by "democrat opposition" is just conjecture, and not supported by any facts.

as the "tea party" sure took on more than the tax protest it was to be (kid's rides and a fireworks display?) there was more than enough for one of the property owners to say no.

maybe its because its a free country and since they own the property they don't feel like having their customers affected by the people who may be of opposing views. Also, please stop referencing these as Tea Parties. Do some history on the origins of the Tea Party and we are not facing the same problems now. Nothing against proest, that is as American as apple pie.

And this isn't an attack at 92bdad. I am just stating that these companies have the right to operate their businesses without intereference. They have to pay the light bill and their employees. People don't shop, then people don't have jobs. That should help the economy.

As to why Simon Co might have waited so long, because the people who amke the calls have lots of things on their plate and probably didn't want to sweat over something that is not of direct and immediate importance until it is.

You neo-cons only think that "the people" are behind your agenda and "the man" are the democrats because all you watch is Fox News. EVERY OTHER media outlet is bias if are stuck on Fox News just because of how rediculously bias they are. Everyone else, besides MSNBC, reports the news but the news is still so radically different than Fox News therefore it must be bias.

These polls would suggest otherwise on who "the people" are and the voice of the Americans are. The voice of the Americans think most of you guys are nut bags.
