Are they not getting the ball to Dirk or are the Hornets doing a good job of denying him the ball?

The Mavs have Dirk out beyond the arc. The Mavs are taking quick shots without setting up the offense

The offense struggled at times last night when they didn't run the offense through dirk. It looked great most of the time that it did run through Dirk. Tonight, they're not running any of it through the big German. His only shot was a desparation three when he received the ball last second while under alot of pressure.

I really like the pace Terry has set since entering the game. He is a luxury to have off the bench.

This lineup seems to be effective based on the live audio. Dirk, Stack, Terry, Bradley, Howard

Took a while to get settled but overall a good quarter. Bradley in for Dampier so early makes me cringe though.

As long as it helps the Mavs put a 2 in the W column, that's all that matters. Bradley seems to be doing well.

Terry and Stackhouse really settled things down and put a little run together. Nice boards by Stack. I am surprised Dirk played the whole first quarter, but maybe we were in a middle of a run and Nellie wanted to milk it. Lets give him some rest soon.

I know the Mavs are winning, but I want it to be chiseled in the heads of all the players that the offense runs through Dirk. It's not happening.

JR Smith seems to have learned the Baron Davis shot selection. I will let either launch contested threes all game long.

Haha well that is a bit early to say isnt it. I thought he had a pretty decent game last night, just needed a few more rebounds. As been said, most Mavs people seem to be hoping for 10+ - 10+ . Even so, he's gonna have his off nights. I'm not gonna call bust after 1 game and 1.5 quarters.

I could, rather than saying I was "starting to get worried..." , I could have actually made a statement like "Damp is a bust!" See the difference?

It's a BB, people are going to post stuff. Is it possible to be more knee jerk than posting something like what you posted 20 seconds after I posted my comment? Calm yourself. Let's try to move away from inflammatory, after all we are all fans of the same team (explaining our presence on this board).

You might take some tips from HexNBA, he seems like he has some manners.

Terry is looking good at hitting that midrange jumper. I'm liking what I see from Jet because he is hitting these shots within the flow of the offense.
