I feel you on that one.

But I'm not advocating that Green would fix the issue.

IMO the Mavs simply blew it by passing on Bey who is arguably already a better player than J.Rich as a rookie on both ends of the floor.

Can't go back and change anything but in hindsight they could have kept Curry and not even needed Richardson because you would've had Bey.

Just a terrible decision overall now

Does anybody believe that there is a possible move out there that will significantly improve the Mavericks? This crap is depressing. Luka is so gone when the opportunity presents itself. :-(

Just gotta go smaller baby! That'll fix it all. Spacing! 5 out! Smaller! Somebody put me out of my misery.

Considering they blew it this past draft and then landed no help in FA or the trade deadline I'd say it looks bleak.

But Cuban still believes at some point there will be a team that will give up a star player for peanuts.

He's not trading any of his top rotation players for anything less than a STAR in return.

Rick had a fantastic game plan. The players just failed to dominate Embiid. His genius continues to go unnoticed. When we have a healthy KP for the play in game you guys are going to eat your words. Better yet, when he is healthy AF heading to Latvia the day after missing the playoffs, you will then realize what you dummies couldn't understand as it unfolded all season.

Refs were really good tonight. They tapped on our thin outer shell really early and we do what soft eggs do and cracked wide open.

Many people are jumping off the champion ship that is our Mavericks but just wait until we really unleash our small ball potential. Think about it, why show our glut of 2 way players true prowess this early? Getting bullied and shoved around is our coaches fettish and I can't get enough of it.

Whoever the hell Green and Bey are need to get the hell off the court so we can fine tune Burke, Powell and Melli etc. I don't wanna hear shit about "ohh they need time so they can grow and gain experience" pish get real. This is the vets show and if they can't learn on their own time, they don't deserve to play in a game that was always gonna be a blowout.

LOL

I guess we have no choice but to find humor in all of this....

But some of it is actually true

They actually went smaller vs Embiid thinking DFS was a better play than Powell, Boban or WCS.

He didn't even bother to let any of our true big's foul out defending Embiid. I'm like so what if they foul out why save your fouls it's not like you were going to win the game later by saving them.

RC just said fuck it these 3 guys ain't helping so let's try DFS and poor Dorian got thrown around like a rag doll down there.

He was just itching to go smaller and you could see it. The Problem is some big's will still stay on the floor regardless of what lineup you throw out there and Embiid just so happens to be one of those big's.

It looked really comical to see the Mavs not a single guy on this roster that is equipped to bang with guys like Embiid or even Cousins for that matter. Any big who plays with any type force inside usually wears the Mavs down because we have a roster full of finesse bigs

This recap just about sums up the inconsistency of this team as whole this year. It's always something with multiple guys not showing up to play well.

Three Players cannot have one made field goal throughout an entire half!
After the first quarter, only three Mavs Players had made one field goal: Luka, Dorian and Tim Hardaway Jr.

Jalen Brunson said it best post-game, when asked how can the Mavs end their two game losing streak, “Play better defense and play better offense.”

If Mavs fans want to consider Jalen Brunson the sixth man of the year and believe Josh Richardson is a quality starter, they have to provide better contributions. Otherwise the Mavericks might end up in the play in tournament.

This is all they needed to do. Keep Curry. Draft Saddiq. Trade Wright and Justin for James Johnson. Run it back.

33.7%: The percentage of the Mavericks’ points Luka scored.
15 players saw minutes for Dallas, and 13 of them scored. But Luka’s 32 points made up a full third of the total scoring for the Mavericks. That’s insane, unsustainable, and quite frankly, infuriating. The rest of the team has to step up and hit the open shots they’re getting.

15: The number of free throws attempted by Joel Embiid.
Embiid benefited from the Mavericks having no one to guard him and a generous whistle from the refs. Significantly, Embiid took only one less free throw than the entire Mavericks team. Dallas went 16-20 at the charity stripe. Doncic got calls for once, going to the line 11 times and converting 10 of those trips. It’s a little concerning, though, that he accounted for more than half of the Mavericks’ free throw attempts. It sheds light on the Mavericks’ lack of players who can dribble penetrate.
