And this changes the whole equation. If he IS still listening to the Mavs offers and he hasn't already just made up his mind, then the Mavs are straight up chumps if they don't outbid the Knicks. There's no way $110 million is fine but $125 cripples the franchise.

Get it done, Mavs. This is the way the NBA works. You overpay to keep your guys. If you're not willing to do that, then you're not serious about winning.

The difference is they're signing their own players which you can do if you're willing to pay a high tax bill, and also made moves through trades. (KD turned into D'Angelo Russell turned into Wiggins) They haven't signed any significant free agents.

I would think the 2 would come down to Bullock or THJ. I think having Dinwiddie run the 2nd unit is too valuable, even if we get Dragic. I could envision a solid camp for THJ leaving Bullock to better bolster the defense of the 2nd unit as well.

The Mavs FO is also not done, not by a long shot. Getting McGee signals one of Powell or Maxi is gone, and with Powell being pretty much redundant and an expiring, I'm guessing he's as good as gone.
