Default Boris Diaw, Beethoven, and the Suns

The inimitable Bill Walton just said on the broadcast that Beethoven's Third Symphony ushered in the era of Romantic Music (he's right about that...Eroica was indeed a mo-fo) and that Boris Diaw is likewise ushering in the Age of Romanticism in NBA players.

Questions:

1) Have you ever heard an announcer make such an esoteric, yet correct, reference while calling a game?

2) Is Boris Diaw really at the vanguard of a new style of NBA player?

3) Do the Lakers stand any chance of beating the Suns in a series? After all, Kobe scored close to fifty tonight and they still lost their ass.
