Default Pretty interesting satire on the "liberal open minded" left.

How illuminating that the left who fancy themselves open-minded seem to be the most close-minded and snobbish of them all. Hmmmm sounds like Tereza...

As a political and journalistic experiment, I decided to see how people who live in primarily one-party areas would react when faced with a living, breathing member of the opposition. I appointed myself an ambassador to bridge the Red-Blue divide and ventured into each side's territory dressed in the T-shirt, campaign button, and tote bag of the other. (A baseball cap, I decided, pushed the ensemble one step over the line, making me look a raving nut about to start yelling obscenities.)

How about the Homophobic RIGHT??? What is a bigger example of bigotry than that? Homophobia is driven by hate and fear. Bigots fear what they don’t understand and they don’t understand a lot of things. Fear and hate appeal to the lowest parts of humanity, to simple minds that – in their own ignorance – cling to outdated concepts that a belief, point of view, lifestyle or philosophy must be superior to another. This is your party to a T.

You all talk of compassion while practicing homophobia and bigotry daily. You claim GAYS areout to destroy the American way of life,” a charge that conservatives like to toss at anyone who does not agree with their narrow view of the world. In your eyes, if you question the actions of our President, you are anti-American. If you question the war in Iraq, you are unpatriotic. Anti ARAB and Muslim talk is commonplace. If a woman has an abortion- DAMN- she is the DEVIL... Please dont preach of bigotry- you guys wrote the book...

You are so incredibly uninformed. You also are completely (edited by a Dallas-Mavs.com moderator).

True. But your logic falls apart right here. Are we homophobes? Do we hate gays or fear them? No. It's a silly assumption, nothing you're not used to.

Just because we don't cheer for women who murder small children doesn't make us immoral.

Although I don't agree on a couple of things, this post of reeds is very good.

Parts that I liked the most:

Bigots fear what they don’t understand and they don’t understand a lot of things. Fear and hate appeal to the lowest parts of humanity, to simple minds that – in their own ignorance – cling to outdated concepts that a belief, point of view, lifestyle or philosophy must be superior to another.

This has to do with many things, not only with politics or "Republicans", but with society in general.

if you question the actions of our President, you are anti-American.

I have heard it, an absurdity.

If you question the war in Iraq, you are unpatriotic.

Ditto. Absurdity came after the lies.

Chiwas the post would make more sense if it weren't directed at an entire political party. He pretty much calls Republicans homophobes. Every one of them.

I'm sure that you don;t infer that all these crimes were by Democrats.

Are you?

That would be just like blaming all the breaki ns at Democrat offices on Republicans, and that would be wrong.

Then your "guarantee" is proven worthless by the above articles.

Many of the vandals were organized by the AFL-CIO, and at least one of the acts was done for only the theft of money.

Maybe Oliver Stone would be interested, he's always been fascinated by wacko conspiracy theories.

There are concerted efforts driven by dim wackos to do anything and everything to disrupt this election. If you choose to write it off it your perogative but it does not change the fact.

well, you're right about one thing:
Quote:
Based on new information, investigators are confident this Democratic break-in had nothing to do with politics.
"It's not an inside job with anyone inside the democratic party, nor is it any involvement by the Republican party," Baumgartner said.
The reason I ask for links is because an equal number of breakins for the two parties would indicate either:
1) not many are politically motivateed, and the breakins are randomly spread across the two groups or
2) both sides are equally wrong in this matter.

but if the distribution is not equal (more breakins at democratic or republican headquarters) it migh tmean
1) it's easier for the random thief to break in at one type of headquarters than another (highly unlikely) or
2) people that are against one party are a lot more wrong than people that are against the other party. (which is telling in what is essentially a 2 party system)

The breakins are not even, there have been more disturbances against Republican offices than Democrat's.

That does not show a coordinated effort by the DNC. Some of the breakins were by union members, some were by hostile demos, some were by petty thieves.

But they sure don't have the coordination of a campaign by the DNC IMO.

The DNC?? The DNC??? who's talking about the DNC? this thread is about the loons that make up the liberal left. Even you are not talking about the DNC. In response to the breakings, you were even talking about democrats:

Or are you suggesting that democrats are a bunch of mindless automatons that can't organize anything without the DNC?
