That problem is that backup defensive bigs just don't ever seem to get the time of day under Rick. And we have Salah that fills that role...who also doesn't get playing time.

I almost wish we'd draft Bamba just to see what Rick does with him.

I think Rick has done a good job developing young guards, but I'd like to see the same with big men. He has done well with Powell, but still seems to yank his minutes when other players like DFS are healthy.

@OneLeggedFade41: Noel would have to get 65.8 mill 3 yr contract at minimum this summer to break even for rejecting Mavs offer...

I don't think he makes that rest of his career now...

Free agent Nerlens Noel has agreed to a two-year contract with the Oklahoma City Thunder, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

The second year of the deal is a player option, league sources said.

Minimum deal. Noel should feel like an idiot now, but since everyone is a hero in their own story I guess he feels justified

Noel leaving for a minimum deal tells you a lot about the internal relationship in hindsight. There were always those that felt like he could come back "for the right prize". Nope...

At least pot is illegal in OKC. In Lakerland, the management would have to pick him up to play games at the local dispensary.
