The one season wonders are put to an end tonight. Mavs prevail. Marquis has a 'welcome back' party after he goes wild tonight.

Josh sends a message to the entire NBA ....... HE has arrived.
Look for a dominating performance from JH with 28 points!
also the over/under for Christies' "hand signs" to Mrs. C. is at 7

Let's Go Mavs! With Doug on the team now, does that mean we can't make fun of him anymore, for being a kept nancy-boy?

RE: Mavs @ Suns Gameday Thread
I see a sloppy game being played tonight, but the Mavs will open with a convincing double digit blowout on the road.

BTW, can someone tell me who the starting SG is tonight?
Did Daniels win the position during training camp, or is the old man still getting the nod?

Mavs win big, leading the media to declare the Suns dead in the water, at least until March. That's when Stoudemire will be getting close to completing his rehab, and the media will declare the Suns to be the team that "nobody wants to play in the first round."
Ah, the joys of NBA fandom...

This will be a great year for us and our team. Mavs win it by a big margin and by playing great perimeter defense.

Dear Lord,
Thank you for letting me get through the offseason. And for keeping my Longhorns unbeaten (a little off topic, but this is my prayer). Please let Cash's team suffer greatly.
Amen,

RE:Mavs @ Suns Gameday Thread
I'd be pretty disappointed with a close game, IMO there's no reason to believe that we shouldn't blow this team out, they are without their franchise player and only return 2 of the 5 starters from last year. They have a solid team, but players like Kurt Thomas, Raja Bell, Jim Jackson, Barbosa, and others shouldn't be able to beat us, if we are really a "contender". Let's see how good our defense really is, can we stop penetration? can we contest 3 point shots? how bout transition D? JET talked about how their offense is a little bogged down and not as fluid as it shoud/can be, and that they would ride their defense at the start of the season so let's see. Honestly, I would be a little disappointed if we were to only win by < 8 points.
btw, Christie will have more than 7 wifey signals.. its opening night! she wants to be known and its on national TV

since when were the mavs still kind of dominating force to expect to blowout a very talented team on the ROAD? totally stupid to think that.
suns still have the MVP who owns Dallas and all their PG's, another very good player who puts up 20 and 10 every night for run and a bunch of a very good role players/shooters
there's no reason to think the suns won't win this game and challenge for a top 3 spot this year.
you are really overrating the mavs, not even the spurs should expect to blowout the suns in phoenix.
