Greg Buckner
Buckner seems like a realistic possibility and supposedly there are 3 teams VERY interested in his services, Denver and two from the eastern conference and one unmentioned western team (maybe the Mavs?). He would be yet another guy similar to Josh Howard that we could bring off the bench and be a legit stopper. The guy can put the ball in the hoop as well. Don't forget the few years he played well here in Dallas.
Buckner Waits on Denver; High Demand From 3 Other Clubs The guy doesn't impress on the stat sheet: Started 41 games last year for Denver, only avg. 6pts 3rbs, 1stl That's what you could expect out of Buckner on the Mavs. You can also expect him to bring an intensity and attitude that I personally think the Mavericks desperately lack. |

I've always liked Buckner. I think he could help the team, if he was cheap enough.

Other than last season in Denver, he's done nothing since leaving the Mavs. Not worth more than the vet minimum.
