Damn, it would be such a heart breaker to lose this one on a last second 3, and Orlando has so many guys that can make them..... Color me nervous...

Great decision to not play Kidd at the end. Off game from him. West and Terry were what got us back in the game. Am bitter about not seeing Roddy and Kidd and Carter playing as poorly as they did tonight doesn't help it. But no doubt West is better for this team than Roddy.

are you kidding me? Kidd couldn't guard a fire hydrant tonight nor did was he effective offensively. West obviously had the energy to close the game out. Putting Kidd back would have made zero sense.

West, Terry and Drik closed this game out great.
Marion held down the first three quarters....even though the Mavs were like down 15 pts.... good to see Mavs win this game.

Loved the start of the fourth with Ian getting a little stinger on his right shoulder. While he is trying to shake it off delonte starts banging him on it. Hah!

The dirkster likes delonte. Me too. Nice to get some more toughness back on the team.

Roddy played really well in the last 3 weeks, and we won many games thanks to his good play (too), the last one was as recent as the second game against Houston, no need to be a dick imo. You just have to accept, it doesn't matter what Roddy does, Carter and Terry will play before him. With Terry, it's understandable, with Carter, i don't think it is.
For while now, he gives us nothing on the offensive end but low percentage iso plays, his 3 ball is shot, and he became a complete liability on defense as the season went on. I'm all right Delonte playing all of the backup PG minutes, but all of Carter's minutes should go to Roddy (who, again, played really well and consistently in the last couple weeks), and VC should play backup SF minutes exclusively. Big f'n win btw, Dirkkkkkkkkkkkk!

Again I like carter starting and always playing with dirk. Give him 5-10 minutes or so then let him get a good long rest. I just do not see roddy really knowing instinctively how to play out there.
I wonder if a much, much more structured offense would be better for him. His BBiq seems limited, possibly the free flowing offense we use is just beyond him. It seems he does need about ten years of basketball to catch up with the vets iq wise.

Why force something that doesn't work? Roddy playing as a de facto SG worked very well in the last couple weeks, why not do it more? He attacked the rim, even his 3 ball was coming back at beginning of march, and of course he played very, very good defense. You said it yourself numerous times he played well, and gave him props.
He had a very good game what, 5-6 days ago against the Rockets? He was getting some consistency, and now suddenly you're again at this "he's completely useless" crap, when you said it yourself, numerous times that we was improving. On the other hand, Carter is the complete opposite. You don't make sense when it comes to Roddy.

Roddy playing against a dead tired Parker on a b2b or against Byron Davis, Charalotte, Washington, New Orleans....indeed worked very well. The matchup against Kobe/Sessions was pretty much the beginning of the end for Roddy. And of course once we play bad teams he will tease us again...

I actually think it does work. I would limit his minutes but I like the way he and dirk start the game. Shawn has been pretty shaky offensively lately, last night was nice as he started getting his shots up more, I think they were kinda flat.

And Carter is playing like crap, regardless of the opponent in the last month. He's shooting 37% in march, but what's really frightening is that if you take out the beginning or march with a couple good outlier game, it's probably around 32-33% since, with a relatively high usage rate, and with absolutely terrible defense to start the game, and put us in a hole. If you guys think that's all right, and it's the equivalence of "working", i really don't know what to say, maybe other than, knock yourself out.

Off season by Kidd= yes. Overall. You have to admit it. Still need him to play at a high level in the playoffs but so far in this regular season he has played way below his normal standards since he has been a Mav especially defensively.
