why are the mavs so unwilling to take the ball anywhere near the paint exactly?
take it to the basket, or you will lose.

have to find a way to get these jackasses into foul trouble before they put you in foul trouble.
but the mavs are unwilling to go anywhere near the basket most of the time.

Even when we take it to the paint, we are passing it back out.
Edit-- maybe we are trying to avoid injury?

No doubt, and unfortunately for him, it's not Chauncy Billups doing the owning. Not that Flip Murray is a chump.

Sorry, I meant how long they'll be out, and what is the extent of their injury?

Maybe they are waiting for Jerry Stackhouse to give them an inspiring speech.

Mavs need to be stronger with the ball and certainly more careful with it.
8 to's ain't going to get it done.

imagine that, another team starts out shooting lights out against us...
They will cool down though and we'll just maintain and win in the end.

I don't think Avery should take Devin out for the rest of the game. He's young.. His body can take it.

At the time, though, it couldn't have been any less effective than what the Mavs were doing.

Is this announcer an ex piston? I mean we just made two stops at the hoop and this guy continues to talk about detroits defense?
Detroits defense has been good but the mavs just got off a 6-0 run and he's still talking about it.
The other announcer kinda said "mavs coming back" in refutation of that good defense. But every shot is a tough one. Like two blocks at the rim isn't.

Was that called a foul on sheed? Sportsline says it was, but the announcers didn't.

I think Stack needs to keep a stack of inspirational sports speeches in his uni, just for these occassions.

LOL was thinking the same thing...a couple of good defensive stops by the Mavs and he still keeps on praising the Pistons' D??!!
