Default The Biggest 4-way Blockbuster ever (with mavs)

I know the off-season has become a little boring, and that everyone is content with the team that we have. I am just throwing this out there to see some response... and because I think that this trade improves all the teams involved.

Dallas trades: PF Alan Henderson (4.0 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 0.3 apg in 11.3 minutes)
SF Jerry Stackhouse (13.9 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 4.0 apg in 29.8 minutes)
C Calvin Booth (4.9 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 0.4 apg in 17.0 minutes)
SF Josh Howard (8.6 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 1.5 apg in 23.7 minutes)
3 mil Cash
Dallas receives: SF Tim Thomas (14.7 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 1.9 apg in 31.6 minutes)
SG Wally Szczerbiak (10.2 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 1.2 apg in 22.2 minutes)
First Round draft Pick from Nets
First Round draft Pick from Wolves
Change in team outlook: -6.5 ppg, -8.6 rpg, and -3.1 apg.

New York trades: SF Tim Thomas (14.7 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 1.9 apg in 31.6 minutes)
C Kurt Thomas (11.1 ppg, 8.3 rpg, 1.9 apg in 31.9 minutes)
New York receives: SF Jerry Stackhouse (13.9 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 4.0 apg in 26 games)
C Michael Olowokandi (6.5 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 0.6 apg in 43 games)
PF Aaron Williams (6.3 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 1.1 apg in 72 games)
Cash from Mavs
Change in team outlook: +0.9 ppg, +0.3 rpg, and +1.9 apg.

Minnesota trades: SG Wally Szczerbiak (10.2 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 1.2 apg in 22.2 minutes)
PG Sam Cassell (19.8 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 7.3 apg in 35.0 minutes)
C Michael Olowokandi (6.5 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 0.6 apg in 21.5 minutes)
1st round draft Pick
Minnesota receives: C Calvin Booth (4.9 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 0.4 apg in 71 games)
SF Josh Howard (8.6 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 1.5 apg in 67 games)
PG Jason Kidd (15.5 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 9.2 apg in 67 games)
Change in team outlook: -7.5 ppg, +3.6 rpg, and +2.0 apg.

New Jersey trades: PG Jason Kidd (15.5 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 9.2 apg in 36.5 minutes)
PF Aaron Williams (6.3 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 1.1 apg in 18.6 minutes)
1st Round draft Pick
New Jersey receives: PF Alan Henderson (4.0 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 0.3 apg in 6 games)
C Kurt Thomas (11.1 ppg, 8.3 rpg, 1.9 apg in 80 games)
PG Sam Cassell (19.8 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 7.3 apg in 81 games)
Change in team outlook: +13.1 ppg, +4.7 rpg, and -0.8 apg.

TRADE ACCEPTED

Dallas- get 2 guys who will come off the bench and fill in all of the minutes behind Dirk/Finley/Daniels. It Hurts to lose howard and stackhouse... but we get 2 FIRST ROUNDERS!!!! (NJ will still have 1st rounders and Minny's will be a bad pick so both teams will give up the picks). We dont really need Henderson/Booth that bad if we sign Donnel HArvey and have TT fill in at backup PF. IF we sign harvey and keep dickau... this gives us a perfect 15 man roster.

NY- They get help at center and clear out their PF logjam (vin Baker, Sweetney, Jerome williams will all still be on the team). This is a pretty good deal for them.

NJ- get rid of Kidd while getting some expiring contracts and a great cheap point gaurd. They wouldnt mind giving up a draft pick becasue they got 3 from denver. Kurt Thomas is also a player that can help them fill the void of K-mart at a good price.

MInny- They get the best deal of all (assuming Kidd works out). They are taking a gamble, that will determine wheather this team will win a championship or not. If kidd remains a star... thy could win it all. If he fails, it could be their dimise. Boothe is almost as good as the kandi-man and Josh Howard obviously has a great future. They do have to give up a 1st rounder, just so it isnt a complete steal.

You are strengthening Minn way too much.

Kidd, Sprewell, Howard, Garnett, and Johnson (Kandi).

They would be good for sure....and Dallas would gain ? ? ? backups

A. Yes, i am bored
B. We are only getting backups... but we are only trading backups
C. Minny wont have Kandi... they will have booth
D. It is a gamble for Minny, this trade could destroy them if Kidd cant recover well from his surgery because then cassel would be a better player

Since it looks like you put some effort into this, I will try to give it a decent response. If you look at the bottom line for the Mavs, they lose in all categories, scoring, rebounding and assists. Why would they do it then? To get two first round draft picks? If you didn't notice, the Mavs are giving away draft picks. It looks like the Mavs are set in the players that they are going to build with. Any draft pick they get is trade bait. Also, like someone else said, Minny becomes too strong.

2 drafts picks that would prolly be 15th - 20th picks. We give away way too much time. Howard is 2 years ahead of this coming year's draft. We don't have the luxury of waiting another 2 years to see if some 15th overall rookie pans out ;I
