Help out New Orleans
In the wake of Jamal Mashburn's season ending injury, I have found a way to help out New Orleans by geting them a good replacement for him at SF. It will also get them 3mil salarie relief to go along with the additional 3 mil that Dallas would pay to do the deal.
Dallas trades: Evan Eschmeyer ( ppg, rpg, apg in minutes) Tariq Abdul-Wahad ( ppg, rpg, apg in minutes) SF Jerry Stackhouse (13.9 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 4.0 apg in 29.8 minutes) PG Dan Dickau ( ppg, rpg, apg) Dallas receives: PF PJ Brown (10.4 ppg, 8.6 rpg, 1.9 apg in 34.4 minutes) SF Jamal Mashburn (20.8 ppg, 6.2 rpg, 2.5 apg in 38.4 minutes In an additional deal.... The mavs would send the Tony Delk TE (3.2 mil) for George Lynch The final deal would be something like esch/TAW/Stack/Dickau/3mil/TE for Mash/Brown/Lynch Why Dallas Does it- Frees up time for howard/quis while getting a guy that can still play minutes at the 2/3 in Lynch... Just not as much as stackhouse. Esch contract + TAW contract = Mash contract.... BUT SHORTER. Since it is shorter, maybe cuban wont have to buy it out and 80% will be covered by insurance. PJ Brown is a guy that could start 82 games and play 30 minutes, but here he will only get 15-18. But if Dirk went down for a long period of time (knock on wood) Brown would be a great replacement. Why Charlotte does it- It is basically PJ/Lynch for Stack/Dickau/6mil. Not too bad for them if they want the money. The power Foward position will be filled by David west (who I expect to have a great year) Chris Anderson, and Rodney Rogers. I know that this is an amazingly unlikely trade, and that we wont make a trade so close to training camp... but it is just something to think about. NOTE: This trade could be completed soon as long as the part with dickau/TAW/Esch for MASH waited (which wouldnt matter considering none of them are in the major plans for either team. Trade 1. Stack for PJ Trade 2. TE for Lynch Trade 3 (Ocotber 24) - dickau/TAW/Esch for MASH |

 Why would we want to help out New Orleans? It's not like we want Monster Mash. He's a cancer. PJ is okay but he's definitely on the downward slide. No thanks. No freebies and no give aways. |
