Howard played great today, but like others have called him, he's a mental midget. He'll never hit a big basket in the 4th quarter.. NEVER. He is what he is. He's a good player that can sometimes look awesome, and sometimes frustrate the hell out of you. One things clear, he'll never win you the big game.

ya, im knee-jerking over 2 straight months of terrible play, and serious attitude problems.
you can count his good games on 1 hands fingers since the trade, his 30% shooting on 20 attempts another matter though.

dollars to donuts j-hole could have replaced harris AND diop in that trade.
maybe he would be happier too.
his attitude has sucked ever since, as well as his play 90% OF THE TIME.

Yall are retarded.
I think if you start a thread within 1 minute of the game ending you get auto banned.
Josh played a great game, he has never been known as someone that can go big at the end, but he overall played 10x better tonight and the past 5 games or so than he did a few weeks ago.
And really its hard to put much blame on anyone in particular in this game. They all just collectively lost steam at the end, and 1 error led to another ( i know baseball term), though, yeah the tech by Howard was straight up stupid on his part. It def wasnt all that though
anyways, no I would not trade Howard for Kidd. We got Kidd with Harris that was not going to grow in Dallas like he can elsewhere (away from AJ) and Diop who was in AJs dog house for some stupid reason. Now Howards going to keep ending games around 25+ and we will have the ability to trade him for another very valuable piece by his value going up lately. Howard would be able to get a more valuable piece than Harris+Diop could have. Believe it or not.

What makes you think the Nets would've taken Josh Howard instead of Devin Harris? Nevermind, the fact they have Vince Carter and Richard Jefferson who are both 3's.

Someday when a sportswriter decides to write a book on the greatest tragedies in the history of the NBA it will include a section on the Dallas Mavericks: The Dynasty That Never Was, starting from our finals downfall, to the 67 win season/eventual playoff humiliation, to these unbearable results of the Kidd trade.
Now if I had my way Kidd would still be in NJ, but i'm still inspired by the fact that none of this really matters if we make the playoffs, if we play good ball there, thats all that really counts. Still... it would be nice if we could be shown that we're actually capable of playing good ball.

.. another important fact being that he went 7 of 8 at the free throw line. J-Ho was definitely more aggressive this game than he has been the vast majority of this season... In now way should there be any major blame on Howard this game. Everyone let it go away from them at the end. Collective loss.

well 2+ years ago I could often joke about how the Mavs were just letting teams win for dramatic effect at the end of the game or.. season. Then make some awesome come back. Unfortunatley, I dont believe that is them anymore....anyways. All everyone talked about during the offseason and beginning of the season is how much the regular season didnt matter, and if there is any season where it could be more true its this one. If we make the playoffs then we pretty much have the same chance as anyone in there... that is if we can win on the road. ... Here's hope to this regular season happening like it has been for dramatic effect

Howard played well. I hate how everyone singles out one player and puts all the blame on them. He's been playing great as of late, he really stepped it up when Dirk went down. There's no way this loss was his fault.

He played a huge factor in the loss. He gave the Lakers points and kept shooting jumpshots and clanking them. Everyone knows he clanks in the 4th quarter. If the games were only 3 quarters long he'd one of the best in the league. But unfortunately we have to play 4.

Well josh does have to take his share of goat in this one, but guess what...that HAS to happen for this team to win it all. It cannot just be the dirk show.
