Dirk doesn't need to shoot that shot against Barnes. Back him in and turn to the paint and shoot over him... don't step back.

I like Dirk's aggressiveness so far but he isn't using his height advantage to his advantage. If they put a dude 6 inches shorter than you. Don't go away from the hoop.

That's always been the case with Dirk. He takes horrible fadeaway shots that aren't horrible because he makes them.
Counter-intuitive ain't it?

Bass looks good so far. Real good, despite the missed layup (why didn't he dunk that?).

The Mavs need to get to the line and get itin the paint. If Phx is going to play small (and Admundson is a SHORT PF)... then get on the glass, get inside, and force them to foul or get some easy hoops.
Jason Terry needs to look to drive a bunch tonight too.

in his defense, he likely had players blocking his vision. He watches the game at court level.
However, there are other quotes that were real stupid...

Barea is playing well so far. Just play withing yourself, Barea. Take what is there. Don't force up shots. He can most definitely get in the paint anytime he wants.
