Marion just 3 rebounds, Chandler with good stats but did not had a big impact in my eyes.

Don't you think it makes MUCH more sense to give Kidd some more rest with Dirk and Roddy back in the lineup? Playing the occasional 40-minute game in early January isn't nearly as much a problem as it would be in late March. There's plenty of time left in the season to take care of Kidd's minutes while not hurting your chances of winning games. Right now, there's no way we can play him 32 minutes and expect to win any game.

With Dirk, Butler and Roddy out and playing against a good team like OKC, Kidd's badly needed on the court. As soon as Dirk and eventually Roddy are back, things will change and allow Carlisle to rest Kidd. Now is not the time and Kidd won't feel this game in his legs one single bit come April.

Nobody likes the fact that Kidd has to play heavy minutes, but there are reasons why he's doing it and also good reasons to believe that it will change eventually.

Not that I'm trying to have a clue or anything...

wake me up when the Mavs are worth watching again. Dont get me wrong, I love a lot of the individual players, but this is not a playoff team without Dirk-- just a lot of scrappers trying to do something while their offense sinks their ship.

Playing kidd a lot of minutes in this stretch when dirk is out is NO WAY causing him permanent damage. He is still only at 33mpg which is 4 lower than his career. Until this stretch he was hardly ever getting over 35 and having quite a few games below 30.

He can certainly take on a few extra minutes while the team is short-handed. Worse with no one being able to score JC is almost forced to play JJB with jkiddo. This team is pretty woefully short on guards.
