Did anyone watch the Kentucky Derby yesterday? An underdogs hayday, with a 50 to 1 shot winning. Mine that bird, a $9,000 horse blew by the horses costing millions of dollars. He made the other horses look like they were standing still. If you missed it give it a view. |

The talk is all about the jockey's ride, slipping in on the rail as he did. But the truth remains that, as Boral said, he had the only colt that was running at the end. If Mine that Bird hadn't been in the race, it would have been a spectacularly dull run Derby--though the three-way photo finish would have been exciting.

I had to choose between watching the story of the day concerning the Cowboys bubble over the practice field collapsing on two channels or watching the Kentucky Derby on one station and the collapsing bubble on another.. I decided to go with two stations on the bubble collapse.
The most exciting two minutes in sports? For me, it doesn't rank in the top 1000. |
